If that is what Rodgers is saying.. then all he has to do is look in the mirror.. the only thing stopping the Packers yesterday in the second half was turnovers.. not the running game or offensive sets..

The Packers were kicking the defenses ass in the first half.. plain an simple. Turnovers and the defense not getting off the field..

That is why I think his comment has little to do with the offensive playcalling.. just you can't keep making mistakes and taking the offense off the field and the defense has to get the ball back for the offense. The offense wasn't on the field in the second half.

BTW.. I wonder how many would be roasting another QB after putting some of the blame for the picks on the receivers? 😉

Pack - Gregorious should have out-muscled the CB for the first INT. Sharpe would have had that and James Jones probably as well. Finley fo shizzle.

The second INT was clearly on Aaron and that pass, had it been completed, would have been the knock out punch. Yes, they would still have time but thinking of it now, it would have been like the Desmond Howard KR TD in the '96 SB. Took the morale right out of the opponent.

Aaron threw it up far but not deep. Poorly thrown ball. Gregorious had the CB by a step and a half and a better thrown ball would have been a TD as the CB wouldn't have caught Gregorious.

SHARP! :danceme:

Your right making that throw, would have demoralized the Lion offense while simultaneously empowering the defense.

zombie - I think we agree on the appropriate blame, but not on the same passes.

Whichever pick was in the redzone was on Aaron Rodgers IMO. Supposedly it was a 'back shoulder fade' or something like that, but he threw to the inside into the coverage anyway. A bad throw no matter what the route.

As for the bomb on 1st and 10, Greg did have a decent chance and should have muscled that from the cb, esp. being closer to the ball, but it wasn't a wise or particularly well thrown ball either, so I fault Aaron Rodgers for 1.5 ints.

Yes, Jennings could have taken that ball away. It may be just me, but Jennings has looked frustrated so far this season.

he has been. there were some reports with some subtle hints of dicontent in quotes coming from Jennings about his lack of production.

However, I think he needs to shut up...the offense has a lot of weapons and 1 ball. They showed a stat in the 1st half Sunday of # of times targeted this year, and it was something like Greg 23, Finley 22, and DD 20...so Aaron has been distributing the ball pretty evenly, Greg just needs to maximize his opportunities and out-muscle cbs with bad position for the ball.

Musccy & Chutzpah - He better not be mad at someone other than himself. He dropped a bomb either against da Bears or the one before. Forgot which one, but Aaron hit him right in the hands, which used to be the place to hit Greg Jennings. Driver always catches those.

Two bombs were thrown to him Sunday. He caught 0. One he let someone take from him. The second, Aaron threw it too weakly. Aaron's fault, but still, it's not like he didn't have his opportunities for the deep ball.

The bomb that he didn't touch, he had no chance for. But had he caught the one he dropped and the one he had taken from him, his stat sheet would look a heck of a lot prettier.

Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season

dfosterf (22-Jan) : Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.

Martha Careful (22-Jan) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Oh snap!!!
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Even Stevie Wonder can see that.
