Week 2 is in the books, so it's time to write my second report on starting NT BJ Raji.

To me, he continues to impress. I didn't notice a single play where he got dominated by a Bills' OLineman.

He only had 1 tackle, according to NFL.com, but he caused havoc in the Bills' backfield. He was either in the QB's face or redirecting the RB into a linebacker it seemed every play.

I remember he dominated the Bills' offensive line during preseason last year as well. Must like playing them.

Thoughts?

Nice to see Jamon Meredith fail.

I'm in total agreement. The front three are causing a lot more disruption in the backfield than they did last year. It's easy to conclude working BJ into the line up has helped the D.

I'm certainly not missing Jolly with the way he has played so far this year.

I think that they rotate their LT's, at least they did Week 1. Not exactly the strongest O line but I agree that Raji was pretty impressive again.

Gave up at least one sack.

I've been impressed with Raji's quickness and speed for such a big guy. On pass plays or edge runs, I sometimes notice him moving quickly toward the sideline--not what you expect from a 340 pounder. On Matthews' sack of Michael Vick last week, I noticed a defender who had engaged with a blocker on the outside, containing Vick and forcing him back toward Matthews. I rewound and watched the play again, and guess who it was? It was B.J., alright. The nose tackle! I think his mobility is allowing Matthews and the other LBs to run stunts and come right up the middle at the QB.

Did put up the big numbers, but was a constant disruptive force in the backfield. Living up to his high draft status for sure.

I think he has certainly quieted everyone saying that Pickett should be the starting NT. All picket really did was eat up double teams. I never really noticed him putting very much pressure on the QB.

Raji does all of the above.
