The irony to me is that Cutler has almost identical stats as Favre for their first three years as starters. Cutler has a few more attempts and a few more yards, but he has almost the same rating, interceptions and tds. The difference between them is the teams they were/are on. Favre had a better running game and a better D. He also got 5 more wins.

As long as the Bears don't build the '96 Packers around him, I think we are safe.

My views on the Bears, They have an awful O-line, Cutler takes a lot of shots down field and seems to be pretty tough so far. He was getting pounded today vs the 'boys and he held tough. On D they are getting a bit old but they can make plays when they have to. Forte is decent but far from unstoppable.

IMO, if we get after the Bears we will win by 14+.

yeah, the front 7 of the Pack D is going to rape the Bears offensive line, pound Forte into the turf, and murder Cutler.

^ Too premature.

Martz actually adjusted really well to dealing with Dallas' front seven after it became apparent their D-line was dominating the Bears' O-line.

He started calling short routes and Cutler started getting the ball out quicker. That messed up the early dominance of the Cowboys' front 7.

Last few times the Packers have had to face QBs who were getting rid of the ball quickly, especially with three-step drops, they have been made to look foolish on defense.

I hope we don't go into this game over confident, because we could come out of this with a loss very easily. They are 2-0 with an asterisk, but they have won those games and seem to be building confidence. Our offense does seem to be still a little off. Yes I know we put alot of points on the board but Rodgers was far from being on and where the hell is Jennings in this offense.
This could be a reality check and if we win it could put us up 2 games on everyone in the division.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

I didn't get to see the Bears/Cowboys game. Are the Bears that good on D, or are the Cowboys that bad?
I NEVER take the Bears for granted. Plus, whoever wins has the lead in the division. Aaron Rodgers looked better in the 2nd half today. But still seemed to be just a hair off on his timing. If he pulls it together, as we KNOW he can, we will roll.
Plus Clay3 should get at least another 3 sacks.

I'm really tired of hearing that.

We get it. They're an NFL team. They're all threats. Guess who else knows it? THE PACKERS.

And to answer Cheesey, the Bears won because Romo was...Romo. And the Dallas defense decided to not play. Our defense plays.

Prediction: 47-10 Packers.

Not kidding.

I didn't watch the Dallas game so your probably right. But if the Pack's offense starts off quick, Cutler will have to hold the ball longer in order to keep up.

Yes the Bears should be taken very seriously, but it is likely that the success the defense has had pressuring the passer will continue through week 3.

Its a Packers-Bears game, so anything can happen. There have been plenty of occasions where we are the better team and they win. Same goes the other way.

Their defense is actually pretty solid -- at least the front seven. I think the key to the game is going to be pass protection, because I have to like our offensive weapons against their defensive backfield.
William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.
