Grant had that second gear that I guessed from Nance's 40 speed that Nance didn't have and the NFL Rivals said the same thing, except they're actually writing a scouting report after seeing him play.

Thus is why I was quick to dismiss him. So yes, you can get something from 40 speed.

Now if the guy can block and is good at screens, and can continually get 4 yards a carry, he's good enough. Even when I say I'm anti-running, what I really mean is 70/30, which means running still has to account for 30% of the plays.

Well, primarily, I hope Jackson stays healthy. Then I hope this guy's good. Who knows though? We got Grant in a trade with the Giants after Grant was their 4th RB at the time. This guy could prove me wrong. I hope he does.

Agreed. But let's assume that GB would have rather put this kid on the PS instead of Johnson if he was available. But most players don't want to go from one team's PS to another team's PS.

The guy is a stop gap until Grant gets back and speaking of Grant Thompson plucked him from NY sixth on the depth chart so I'm surely not going to question what he's done here.

Is that even possible? If a team wants to take another team's practice squad player on their own practice squad, I think they must first sign him to their 53-man roster, waive him, and then wait for him to clear waivers before placing him on their practice squad.
