Here is my first post for the uppcoming season what with my being the Greg Jennings game reporter for this season.

Let's start with a few Gregory Jennings Junior facts (courtesy of GJ's own site(link in my sig))

Fourth-year wideout has developed into one of the most explosive playmakers in the league.

Stands at or near the top of the teams record book for wide receivers in their first three seasons with the team.

His 24 receiving touchdowns are the most by a player over that span, and with 178 receptions, ranks second to only Sterling Sharpes 212
With 2,844 receiving yards in his first three seasons, trails only Sharpe (3,319) and James Lofton (3,012).

Has a 31.3-yard average on his 24 career touchdown receptions.

Ranks fourth in the NFL with 21 TD catches over the past two seasons, and is tied for fourth with a 16.6-yard receiving average over that span.

Has caught a pass in every game he has played with the Packers, carrying a streak of 43 consecutive games with a reception into the 2009 season.

Posted career highs in catches (80) and receiving yards (1,292) on his way to being named first alternate for the Pro Bowl in 2008.

Became only the sixth wide receiver in team history to catch 80 passes in a season.

Big-play ability evidenced by his leading the NFL with eight receptions of 40-plus yards in 08.

Hauled in 12 TD passes in just 13 games in 2007, with six of those scores coming from 40-plus yards.

Made one of the most memorable plays of the 2007 season, catching an 82-yard TD pass from Brett Favre on the first snap of overtime to win a Monday night game in Denver.

Over his first two seasons, caught Favres 400th, 420th and 421st TD passes as the Hall of Fame-bound QB chased, matched, and surpassed Dan Marinos all-time NFL record.

Also on the receiving end of Aaron Rodgers first career TD pass, which came in 2007 at Dallas.

Put up impressive first-year numbers (45 catches, 632 yards, 3 TDs) to earn recognition on the Pro Football Weekly/Pro Football Writers Association All-Rookie team.

Just checked these are prior to last year. Will update post when I find latest stats

Here are the up to date GB career stats

Packers 27 - 20 Eagles

Greg Jennings got his 2010 season underway in familiar style with a TD catch.

Overall GJ caught 5 passs for 82 yds and a TD.

He was thrown to a few other times but was unable to extend his stats in what became an uneessary close game with the eagles clawing back a 17 point deficit in the 3rd qtr to leave the Pack relying on a 4th down stop of Michael Vick within the final 2 minutes to deny an improbable comeback.

GJ's TD came on a fine passs from AR that let GJ past his man on a fly pattern and an easy score.

Standout play by GJ was an amazing one handed grab on a 3rd down play for 16 yards.

Other plays and players that stood out was the exceptional kicking of Mason Crosby (apart from the KO that went out of bounds) who kicked a career and franchise long FG of 56 yards tht could have gone 65 +.

CMIII was exceptional as per usual and to be honest the Eagles ended up being a one trick pony of team from the 3rd qtr onwards relying on the scrambling of Vick (apart from one drive) to keep the ball alive.

A tough road win that should have been easier but as they say "A win is a win"

1 and 0 going into a home game against a very flaky Bills team.

I cannot finish though without mentioning what I would consider by the games I watched the weekend to have very poor officiating.

How the 2 facemask calls were missed in the first qtr I do not know.

But..........in my opinion these pale into insignificance when compared to the call at the end of the Lions Bears game. I thought that grounding both feet in the end zone and also a knee meant 3 points of contact so establishing control and that the ground cannot cause a fumble. In my opinion the player maintained possession of the ball all the way to the ground so the TD should have stood.

I was just about to post about the one handed catch when I saw your new thread.

Was talking to a fellow Packer nut in Madison on the phone during the game and I started raving about the one handed grab. He was watching on DirecTV and had to wait 5 seconds to share my joy.

What a man this Greg Jennings is!

Sorry it's taken a few days to update this thread.

I've had to put up with 2 gloating Bears fans at work after their start to the season.

I'm letting them have their delusions until Monday then will watch them retreat back into their shells on Tusday.

GJ had a pretty quiet game on Sunday catching 4 passes for approx 40 Yards (haven't checked the official starts yet) but that was all that was needed as the Packers comfotably handled the Bills (apart from the 2nd qtr).

A nice gain on a 3rd down play was GJ's highlight of the game.

Yet again for me the packers outstanding player was CM3. Another dominating performance which will leave teams at a loss as to how to contain him.

Looking forward to Monday night were I see A-Rod coming out of his shell with GJ, DD, JF and Jordy N having big gains all night.

Bring on the Bores!!!!
