We're officialy overhyped. I mean, our team looks good, but not THAT good. I think we have a good chance of getting there but 7/7 of professional analysts is too much.

ya I liked the odds much better last year - I averaged 30-1 odds for them winning the superbowl. I wondered what might have happened if those 2 penalties got called on arizona at the end of the playoff game.

With all these big shots calling for us to get ot the big game it makes the odds crap

As long as the players keep their eyes on the prize, it doesn't matter what these guys say about them. Last year was a good learning experience. They are hungry. I don't think that'll change because they're picked to go to the SB.

This feels like the kiss of death to have so much preseason hype...although the team overcame the '96 SI jinx when I think it was Brooks, Brett, and Reggie on the preseason prediction cover

I liked the media love a few months ago when it wasn't quite as much but now it seems like everybody is picking the Pack. I'd prefer to fly under the radar just a little bit more.

I love the hype, I want my friends and coworkers to be pissed that the Packers get all the love. Bring more of it, I want the Packers to be predicted to win the Super Bowl. World Series, NBA Championship, Stanley Cup, and NASCAR Chase for the Cup.

Flying under the radar is boring. I can't stand turning on ESPN or some other sports station and only seeing news about teams like the Cowboys, Patriots and what not. I'll take the hype anyday of the week. The hype is for the fans, not for the players. If players are affected by hype then they weren't going to be successful anyways. The organization should learn to flourish with hype, not hide from it.

Seriously. All this is what we already knew in the first place. The media is just late to the party.

I don't mind getting hyped a bit if it's for good reasons.

Problem is, I don't see it.

When on earth did we race by the Vikings like this? We still have a defense that can't get pressure with 4, no legitimate nr. 2 OLB, while I don't even see our nr. 1 as a legitimate nr. 1 who can get pressure consistently.

I wasn't too worried when we didn't pick a CB, but with the way Underwood and Lee have looked so far, I'm pretty close to becoming just that. With Woodson, Harris and Williams healthy, we're fine, but if just one of those guys goes down, we're backed into a situation that we don't even have the personel to cover 3 WRs decently. We'll see how that works out the first 6 games.

I can't recall the source, but I've read about Capers' defenses bringing a huge improvement in year one and then taking a nosedive. I don't know the reason for this and I hope it won't happen, but it's somewhat alarming. Especially after this pre-season, as little as it may mean.

The o-line was decent, but not great, at the end of last year. It's been great in pre-season, but the same can be said for last year's line.

And I know that every team has weaknesses, but we got carved up pretty badly a couple of times last year. We haven't changed a whole lot on defense. Shifting Raji and Pickett around should help in pushing the pocket a bit and young guys getting a little more experienced should help, but I don't see us stopping good QBs all of a sudden.

A good offense can make up for a lot, but, like the Patriots, you'll eventually bump into a good defense and you're screwed. Like the Vikings.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot

dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : @SharpFootball WR Diontae Johnson just admitted he refused to enter a game in 41° weather last year in Baltimore because he felt “ice cold”
