"Wide receiver Sidney Rice was at the Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colo., on Monday to have his injured hip examined and it appears likely he will undergo surgery, according to people with knowledge of the situation.

Surgery would be expected to sideline Rice for at least the first half of the season."

WOW, that's huge. I think before it was neck and neck for favorites to win the North but I think we just took the clear cut lead!

Btw, why wouldn't he have the surgery months ago, what an idiot. Why do a lot of WRs go crazy after they have their first good season.

How about he tried pushing through the pain and realized he needed surgery. Yes he was a dummy for waiting this long to get surgery or it looked at.. But to say he did so because he wants more money is ridiculous.. Especially if you knew the guy and how humble he is.
