Spiders are my friends. They kill flies and mosquitoes, whom I smash on sight.

Flies are the most important creatures in the world by far.
1) Contrary to popular opinion, flies pollinate more than bees. They're the #1 pollinator of any creature.
2) If it weren't for flies, there would be dead carcasses everywhere. Flies lay eggs in carcasses and their maggot offspring eat the carcasses.
Weird thing is, maggots are now being used in surgery to eat dead flesh to prevent gangrene. Not making this up. Sounds gross, but it's true. They won't eat live flesh.
So if a fly gets into my house, I catch it in my bare hands, open the door, and let him outside.
As for mosquitoes, I don't live in Minnesota. I haven't had a mosquito bite since my Montana vacation.
I get what you're saying though. Spiders technically are good guys. But if one's in my house, it's suicidal. I won't kill a spider outside my house.
