So Neal and Wilson must be doing pretty well to get McCarthy going off on Wynn like that. Interesting.

I was never really impressed with wynn - a decent 4-3 DE but too light for a solid 3-4 DE IMO ... even with those wierd packages dom runs ... I like the idea of neal or someone else being in there instead of wynn but of course we got to see how they stand up in games.

I think Hawk will have a great season, but it will be difficult for him to make the probowl w/ all of the talent at the position in the NFC.

Hey, Shawn, your crush is cute and all, but we don't really need to know that you want Hawk's babies. :P

Hawk is a good player, he's just not worth $10 Million (I heard that what he's owed this year) Lot's of teams might be interested in him, especially 4-3 teams perhaps, but less so with that kind of money involved.

On the Channel 5 news tonight, they showed Wynn in practice today knocking an O-lineman (some guy named Campbell) flat on his ass. Apparently he got McCarthy's message.

Wynn had some flashes in the preseason last year, so let's see what he can do in the next few weeks before writing him off. I think McCarthy's point is that Wynn needs to show significant improvement from last year, especially since he is up against better competition. Last year, Mike Montgomery made the opening day roster, and he was a bad fit as a 3-4 end. This year the depth looks better, even without Jolly.

I really don't think we should get rid of Hawk. Certainly hasn't been a bust so far. He's been a very consistent MLB for us. And if he can continue to show what he did in that scrimmage, he will be a great linebacker in years to come.

From what I've heard Wynn has had no problem winning one on one pass rush battles against the OL.

The problem is when they get 11 on 11 he disappears.

Also I think a lot of people have knocked Campbell off balance. In the scrimmage on one of the INTs the LT was almost put on his butt by what looked like an OLB. I think it was Harrell INT and wasn't Clifton or Bulaga, might of been Campbell.
