To Favre or not to Favre...

Wait. I don't get it.
Detroit Lions place-kicker Jason Hanson told reporters Thursday that teammates are teasing him about "Favre-ing it" during training camp.
What does that mean?
"The guys are giving me a hard time, saying 'Just don't show up if you're going to fake your way through camp,' '' said Hanson, who this week had minor knee surgery for the second consecutive summer. He's expected to be ready to kick by the start of the regular season.
"They're giving me a hard time about Favre-ing it." Hanson said. "I'd rather be working and get a flow going into the season.''
So to "Favre" it is to claim injury just to miss training camp?
That doesn't make any sense.
That's not what Brett Favre is doing.
Why would he do that?
If it weren't for the major surgery he had to reattach his ankle -- I mean, arthroscopic procedure to clean out bone spurs -- Favre would be on the field in Mankato, Minn., as we speak.
Come on now.
