Keep grandma in your thoughts as you make your move to God's Country (anything west of the Dakotas, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas.) When you get settled in Greeley, let me know. I may be heading down through there this fall to New Mexico, and I'd love to meet you.

I do not know much about dealing with pressure, so I cannot emphasise but I do know something Kevin...

You are much stronger than the sum of your worries, I only know you in a Forum environment and can honestly tell myself this, and believe it.

It's bittersweet how the inevitable always seems the most difficult to deal with. I sure do have a desperate hope that things perk up.

Shewt, iv'e seen you in action, hollering and typing with furious frenzy keeping gameday from becoming an utter trainwreck!

She passed away at 2pm today. I found out about an hour or so after that. She went peacefully and painlessly, so that's good.

what a way to go, kev. sorry for your loss but happy for the years you had with your grandma.

This loss is less difficult than my mother and I think that was because Grandma lived a full life, in my opinion. She was 85 years old. When she was an early teen she was diagnosed with diabetes in her early teens. I'm told she was given a time frame to live not past her 20's. I remember her telling me she was a miracle and it's because of her faith in God. She was Catholic.

I'm happy she went gently and on her 'own terms' so to speak and I'm glad I was still in Wisconsin so I could speak with her and say my good byes.

I feel very fortunate.

Edit, someone at ManorCare said she weas 85. I thought she was born in '32 so that didn't make sense, but the obituary says '31 making her 78, if my math is right.

she sounds like a great lady who had a pretty darn good life. and wow do i feel old - one of my favorite things to say is 'jiminycrickets'!! lol. better than cussin in front of the kids.
