The only scary part is what he said about the turnovers because that is the truth. I have confidence that the offense will once again have limited turnovers but I can only hope that the defense will get as many as last year.

I think Brandon Underwood and Pat Lee will contend for the 4th CB spot, with Bush relegated to backup safety and ST player. I also don't know if Barnett measures closer towards average. I think he's been a very dependable MLB/ILB for us the past couple of years.

Otherwise a good article.

Ah yes, Underwood. I thought the writer was forgetting someone there. I also agree with you that he underrates Barnett. And I agree with doddpower about the #3 receiver and the fullbacks.

Some questionable statements here, but like I said, no glaring errors, and at least he didn't just copy what others have been writing.

As I can nitpick anything:

Underwood was not mentioned. He is definitely ahead of Bush and Lee.

Likewise Wynn was not mentioned though he will have reps on the D-line.

The search for a punter is downplayed. It is possible that neither makes it and Ted Thompson finds another punter during the final cuts. This is more of a problem than people realize.

LB Jones has a target on his back.

Dom Capers defense is now on film and very creative people trying to figure ways to exploit it.

Someday -- probably not in my lifetime, but someday -- there will be an article about the Packers that does not start out with a Brett Favre reference.

Good article, good comments. It is odd that Underwood isn't mentioned. I guess he just missed it. The league has had a while to see Caper's defenses. I believe we have a larger advantage with the defense having a year of experience playing in it. Being able to maintain the turnover differential will be difficult and how much Jolly is missed, mainly if a D lineman is hurt, are the biggest question marks. If Harrell can stay healthy it would be a huge plus. But that and the inexperience of a rookie add to the question mark of Jolly.

He also said last year was the first season for a team with a 1,200 yard rusher and two 1,000 yard receivers. That's not true. Green Bay remains the only team to achieve this stat, but they also did it in 2008. So there two for two.

Aside from nitpicking, Green Bay has the talent to reach the Super Bowl. It's just about taking it a step at a time and being level headed.

It's not a fluke with this team. They've been consistent with turnovers on defense, even with the change to a new D Coordinator. One, btw, which should only increase the aggressiveness and hence, the number of turnovers.
