so monday we're taking our first family vacation! supplies & food bought & motorhome is pretty well packed. we're heading out monday morning & staying at a (hopefully) nice campground in God's country! lookin forward to it. always nice to get away & especially nice going to WI.

Osseo is famous for the little cafe known as the Norske Nook, which is renowned for its pie. "Don't forget to leave room for the pie" is their slogan. They serve ginormous pancakes, too -- they are the same diameter as the plate they come on.

thanks for the info, non. we did some research on the area & i have alot of friends in WI who also suggested we go there. i mean really...twist my arm for good pie and/or pancakes. lol.

no fishing at this campground. 😞 but they have 2 pools, sand volleyball, basketball, a skate park, horseshoes, & mini golf. i think we'll find plenty to do!

please don't rain...got it, mother nature??

All those "extras"....GEEZ!
My camping was pitching a tent back in the woods. No water, no toilet, no "mini golf". LOLOL!!!

no nudies here, shawn. made it to osseo this afternoon. already went swimming, hit the playground, had burgers on the grill, a wine cooler, & now i'm relaxin. we'll see how long that lasts. this is a beautiful campground, btw. right off 90 but nicely wooded & really clean. highly recommend it.

and we're back! had a pretty good time too. the campground we stayed in at osseo was beautiful! swam, played mini golf, played on the playground, & played in the game room every day. from there, we hit spring green & went to the house on the rock. i'd been there before but dan & the boys hadn't - they all thought it was crazy cool. then we headed south into iowa for the night & finally got home yesterday early afternoon. only had one problem - had to put a new toilet in the motorhome. luckily the hubby is a jack of all trades so he installed it easily with my help & it was all good from there. had a BAD storm one evening - a lil scary. so now it's laundry, laundry, & more laundry!! ugh. 😞
