Are people really this bored? He's 42 years old today. He's done and even if he wasn't, he still has a year or two to satisfy for the Lions if I remember correctly.

Marcus Allen played one year at 37 and scored 11 TDs. In my lifetime, that's as old as a RB got if I remember correctly. Note though he didn't start a single game that year. He was the #2 RB behind Greg Hill. He did however start when he was 36.

There's no way Sanders could get even 500 yards at 42. I love the guy, but come on. Wallie Payton couldn't get 600 yards at 33 as he was already done by then. It absolutely amazed me that Allen could start at 36.

I agree, I just don't think it'd be worth his time. His biggest asset was his quickness and there's no way 10 years out of the game he has the same quickness.

It's no secret how much I like Barry, but I think Brandon Jackson would get more yards starting than a 42 year old Barry Sanders.
