Twinkie.......what lake were you on? We were on Pickerel Lake out county HWY G about 8 miles. What years did you spend there? Me, from 1954 until 2005 when we sold the cottage. From 1964 until '05 we spent just out vacations there as I was married and had a family. Great area.

Anyone for a Weenie Roast?

I LOVED Eagle River.
Spent several summers there in my youth. It was such a neat place back in the 1960's. Many of the stores had freezers out front, showing off the HUGE fish caught on area lakes. It was such a rustic area back then. Was like stepping back in time.
Was the favorite part of my childhood. Wish i could relive that. I miss my parents.

um...chain o' lakes? i think? i could ask my old man for more specifics. it was so long ago and i was just a kid. probably the early through mid/late 80's i'd say.
