No.. Nascar is straight up redneck.

I commend those guys that have to sit for hours draining their energy going in a gigantic circle.. But to sit and watch? I'll pass. Only thing good is the crashes in the beginning and the last 2 or 3 laps.. IF it's a close race.

BUUUT Hope you have fun Jules

Just like football. At least, in the eyes of quite a few people. There has to be something more to Nascar when you dig deeper.

Much like Formula 1, which totally whoops Nascar's behind, but that's a different story.

Oh, no doubt about it. There's GOT to be a reason they put 1 million butts in their stands.. But if we were to boil the sport down.. It's just driving 200 MPH in a big circle 100 times. No doubt a toil on the driver.. But honestly, IMO, not fun to watch. It makes for a great background entertainment, though.

this redneck sport is gaining in popularity with the upper echelon. however, the vast majority of people we saw there were, in fact, rednecks!! lol.

for me, the enjoyment of racing involves the feel of the motor in your chest & the rush that creates. all for the low, low price of well...u don't wanna know. it's not as addictive as crack though so it's all good.

as for chicagoland speedway, they can take that track & shove it. i've been to talladega - chitown absolutely sucked in comparison. once a guy got out in front, they pretty much were gonna win. very little competetive racing so it was boring as hell!! they have no security in the parking areas, not nearly enuf porta potties, NO garbage cans, & packed us in there like f'in sardines!! it took us 2 hours to go 9 miles. we finally pulled into the driveway around 2am.

as for the nationwide race friday nite, we had a great time. alot less people & drunk rednecks so that was much more fun!
i'll take indy car racing over nascar any day of the week. next i wanna see drag races. that should get the ole heart a pumpin.

Zero2Cool (18-Nov) : Packers vs Lions game doesn't seem so bad.
