I'm not sure what games y'all have been watching, but I haven't seen the Packers play a game this season where they looked like they could handle an offense like the Colts'. Manning's knee has healed, their O-line is getting healthy, and Harrison and Manning are clicking again. Throw in Wayne, Clark, and Gonzalez plus Rhodes and Addai on the ground, and we have some serious match-up problems with our defense banged up. The Colts D-line can generate a pass rush without blitzing, and that Bullitt kid has made some big plays filling in for Bob Sanders. I've seen every Colts game but one this year, and they're looking better each week. Their defense in one less game has given up nearly 50 fewer points than ours.

I already said i would praise Mike McCarthy and the kid for the rest of the year if the Pack would win. I'll put whatever you want as my siggy if grant gets over a 100 but if he dont you have to have a graham harrell siggy for yours.

Sounds like a deal.. good luck. 100 on the ground it is.

LOL hope you have something good for me cuz it will be close but i need something to look foward to in the game 😉
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Long grant had his day against a 19th ranked defense and rhodes had his against the #2 defense, I never said he had a career day just said he did well against a top defense. You don't think the Colts are licking their chops thinking we go from a #2 run defense to a #31 ranked run defense.

He didnt do well

LOL

and the team did even worse :thumbright:

Don't forget this game isn't on the speedy turf for those Colts.. we will take some lumps in the passing defense.. but we should be able to roll on that defense.. the Ravens offense was a joke yesterday..

Grant will have his first big game of the season and we will win this game.. that is how susceptible that Indy D is.. contain the DE rush on passing downs, earmark Gary Bracket and go.

"longtimefan" wrote:

Remember, the Colts have zero quality DTs on their team. Its hard to believe a team is in a worse DT situation than the Pack, but the Colts are. The middle of the field should be open for Grant. Also their DE's are basically invisible against the run.

"Bigbyfan" wrote:

I basicly said that up there ^^

Their run d is just as bad as ours

"pack93z" wrote:

Heh. I just did my research.

I take back what I said earlier. We SHOULD run the ball then.

I'm hoping Grant is 100% and we see what we saw of him last year. Would love to be able to just run the ball down their throats. I hate the Colts. Whatever it takes to beat them.

I HOPE we win of course, but if the Colts get up on us early, i could see them blowing us out.
We beat Seattle, which of course was great, but Mniing is a LITTLE better then "French" Frye.
When i saw this game on the schedule, i figured it would be one of our losses. I actually feel a little better about our chances now then before the season started.
But it's gonna take a whole game team effort to pull this one out.

97 points/5 = 19
Pack 145/6 = 24

Look at who Baltimore played before you guys crown them as the best defense this year..and say since indy manhandled them indy will crush the Pack..

That is my only point..

sometimes things are little scewed by who a team plays and how they get their ranking

Just like in 05?? Packers had #1 pass D..Why? Teams didnt NEED to pass because they were winning

Really?

At the beginning of the season, I was under the impression we were going to be a dominant team. So I thought we'd have a good chance to win this game when I looked at the schedule.

Now, I don't. I think we're an 8-8 team, and most likely Indy will destroy us, but I want to keep my hopes up. In the NFL, on any given Sunday, anyone can beat anyone. So anything can happen.

That's all well and good except Baltimore's defense is consistently in the top ten for a number of years now. The Colts just shredded them because their O-line is healthy and giving Manning time to find Harrison and Wayne running free through the secondary. This is not the same Colts team that six weeks ago was missing two veterans on the O-line and was dealing with Manning's knee and rust from no preseason play. They're starting to click in the passing game, and they've shown in games against Minnesota and Houston this year, that if the game stays close they still have enough to make the big plays at the end of a game to win. Have we shown that ability outside of the Detroit game?

The Colts have been dominant for a LONG time. They only won one SB, but they have been really tough to beat in the regular season. This year is the first time i have seem Peyton not be as dominant. Thats why i figure we have a better chance now.
I saw us as "dominant" at the beginning too, but figured the expierience Manning has would be the deciding factor over our youngin's.

Yeah.. as much as I hate to admit it.. I think the Packers defense is horrible without Harris and Bigby. The linebackers really need to step up.. AJ Hawk and Nick Barnett seems 'solid' but it takes more than 'solid' to become contenders and do well in the playoffs. The Colts will tear up our defense without Harris and Bigby
