Rumour has it that the fear in the locker room is Pickett might be lost for the season with a torn triceps.

More tests need to be done still, though.

LT, you heard anything similar?

Rouse probably had a concussion. Hope he is alright, but I can't say I mind not having him playing.

If Pickett is done for the season I'm going to punch my room mate in the nuts. I can't take another season ending injury to a key player. It's pissing me off.

Hm....

I wonder if Pickett was available to be interviewed after the game.

Even if it is just an elbow, on top of his tendinitis.... seriously the Packers are the walking wounded.

Defensive tackle Ryan Pickett injured his left elbow late in the third quarter and did not return.

Pickett said he was scheduled to under an MRI today.

I just overextended it, Pickett said. All I know right now is that it hurts.

Pickett was knocked out of the Seattle game in the third quarter after awkwardly reaching to make a tackle. In the press box, it was announced as an elbow injury, but leaving the locker room after the game Pickett said it was his triceps.

Im going to get an MRI tomorrow, Pickett said. Its pretty sore. Im pretty confident its not a tear or anything like that, but were going to see tomorrow. I hope not. Thats all I know.

Pickett said he had very little flexibility in his arm and wasnt sure whether that meant it was more serious than he thought. He said he did not know whether it was something he could play with right away if it wasnt torn.

"There's a pretty good amount of pain, but I'm not worried it's going to be too serious," said Pickett, whose practice time during the week was limited because of knee tendinitis. "They checked everything and it seemed to be intact."

I don't really have much to add, but just thought that exchange of quotes was kinda cool. Wanted to keep the 'letting the quotes speak for themselves' type of thing going, so yeah.

In all seriousness ... I hope it isn't anything serious. Those quotes do put me at ease a bit more, kinda had a "Damn it, (expletive)" moment when I initially got told of the torn triceps thing.

I don't think I could handle another serious injury to one of our key players. I'd probably end up packing it in. If we lose another key player, we'e pretty much over with.

TheKanataThrilla (1h) : NFL Network is broadcasting the game tonight, but not in Canada. Not sure why as no local television is showing the game.
beast (21h) : But the Return from IR designations had to be applied by the 53 man cutdown.
beast (21h) : It's a new rule, so it's not clear, but my understanding was that they could be IR'd at any time
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : *had to be IRed at 53
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : beast, I thought the designate return from IR players had to be IR at cutdowns to 53, not before
beast (8-Aug) : It's a brand new rule, either last season or this season, prior, all pre-season IRs were done for the season
beast (8-Aug) : But the Packers would have to use one for their return from IR spots on him, when they cut down to 53.
beast (8-Aug) : I think the NFL recently changed the IR rules, so maybe the season might not be over for OL Glover.
Zero2Cool (8-Aug) : Packers star Howton, first NFLPA prez, dies at 95 😔
