Congratulations are in order. Yes.. Congrats to the Packers' and Aaron Rodgers' for their teeny tiny TASTE of NFL Playoffs. You guys almost lasted longer than a blip! But hey, at least you can say you have a stud of a QB, no matter how far you didn't make it through the playoffs.

Speaking of your stud QB.. I have grown fond of him. I mean, I can't remember the last time the Vikings have gotten a safety against the Packers prior to Rodgers.. And they've gotten at least 3 in the past 2 years alone. Someone check, is that a record or something?

Shawn, the relevant results that are guaranteed are more to the liken of this:

lol, Formo, keep praying for Favre to come back, that's all I can say.

Enjoy the ass kissing and one more year of mild success, if that.

Poor Vikings fans. I guess I can't blame them for enjoying their "success" while they can, especially since their window is so small.

Dodd, there's no need to pray for Favre's return. If he comes back, great.. We all know what type of intangibles he's brought to the organization. If he doesn't, great.. Time to see if his play/mentorship has had any affect with Sage/T-Jack.

The way I see it, it's win-win. Win if Favre returns because it means the Vikings will continue to be a legitimate threat. Win if Favre retires because the Vikings will be written off and they can do their thing under the radar. And both are a-ok with me.

Ass kissing? You mean the ass kicking? Yeah, I'm sure I'll enjoy that. And as far as 'mild success'.. That's very humorous. Any year the Vikes sweep the Peckers is a successful year. Mild success not withstanding.

What does being "under the radar" do for you, though? Does that mean that teams will play you less hard? Because I'm sure that no one will think that the Vikings are an easy win when Favre retires. The only thing that changes is that teams will stack the box a little more.

I think it's funny that Vikings fans start trying to rub it in our faces that we lost in the 1st round.

Because we all know how successful the Vikings have been in the playoffs and everything.

Oh wait... 🤔

lol, at least you have some wins against the packers buddy!!

The Vikings should produce some rings for that!! That'd look good on ole Allen's fingers!

To be fair to the Vking fans, I won't be saying much against their success and tease them about no rings. For some reason this morning I am reading this thread and it makes me think of something. Alot of us Packer fans me included need to shut the hell up about Super Bowl rings because its been what 15 years since we won one? Hell we might as well call ourselves Al Bundy for living off the ancient past. This is a what have you done for me lately league and lately we have had our asses handed to us by the Vikes. So Formo and Vikes I will say congrats on your division championships and Even if the old man doesn't come back I think you should be the favorite to win the division. Hell you are two time defending champ and to be the man you have to beat the man.

As far as the main topic I think they have us over rated a bit, but then again its just early season hype.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

I personally don't think any team has much to write home about as far as winning anything, at least until one of us actually become NFC Champions again. I would say the Bears have to most to say if it's a "what have you done for me lately league." Other then that, it's all about how the teams are built for the next 5 years or so and until the Vikings get a quarterback for the long term, I'd much rather be in the Packers shoes.

Glad I'm not a vikings fan. Hate to see all that talent get teased so.

Under the radar to me means the national media is not longer riding the Vikings ship. While it's nice getting all that national attention, I'd rather the Vikings be a team that flies under the national radar. And yes, teams will continue stacking the box against the Vikes without Favre. Which is ok with me.. Just gives their QB at the time a better chance to prove their worth.

if i was a Queens fan, no joke--

--i'd be praying for Favre *not* to come back. i'd feel so much more legit if my team did well/won games without the most hated QB rival of all time on my team. that's almost like saying you won, but sorta with the help of the Packers.

lol.

I agree with Twinkiegorilla.

Martha Careful (22-Jan) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
