This where I am accused of saying I think Aaron Rodgers is better or that I am glad Brett Favre is gone..

Nothing can be further from the truth.

I just dont like people giving him credit for the 7-1 record when, he did nothing to help them in 2 wins...

IMO they would have been 5-3 half way thru, if it wasnt for the D

philly and washington stats

3 int no td 6 sacks

now dont explain why he didnt do anything or he gave us the chance..Fact is HE didnt help us win, after all that is what this debate is about, is he gives us the BEST chance.

Thats your opinion which is cool. I just don't see it. I see no way that Rodgers is better for this team this year than Favre. You have someone that you went 13-3 and already clicks with the receivers and already knows the playbook, etc. To someone that is unproven and has shown rookie tendecies. I just don't see it but that's just me.

Favre had 4000+ yards, 28 TD's, 66% completion and a 13-3 record, if you want something more than that from your QB, its not going to happen IMO. Brett Favre gives you the best chance of winning right now IMO. He has the Jets at 2-2 and we're 2-3. The Jets are SAME team as last year except improvements on the o-line (which stinks because their 28th in rushing and have allowed the most sacks I think). The defence has been terrible. So far, record wise, I think Favre is proving he is better right now.

But hopefully I'm wrong.

Also I don't even know why we're even discussing this. Favre is gone, nothing I or anyone else can do. It was Ted Thompson's decision, he has to live with it. I didn't like it when it happened and so far (early on in the season), I don't like it. But Rodgers is a legit NFL starting QB, but IMO, there is no way he is better for this team right now.

Again I am NOT SAYING Aaron Rodgers is the better option why is it people can not understand it

My whole issues is Brett Favre got us to 7-1

HE DID NOT, I showed how the D was more IMPORTANT for 2 wins..

once again

Brett Favre is the better option, but please do not credit him with HELPING the team to 7-1

Sorry longtimefan. I'm not understanding, but maybe I am missing something. If your point is that Favre didn't have good games against PHI and WSH, then from the stats it doens't look good. But all my point is we finished 13-3 regardless of how we got there, why change. But I don't think you cna take games and say "this player didn't help us to be 7-1". Thats like saying that Ortiz didn't help the Red Sox get to X number of wins because in X games he had no RBI or hits. I don't see the point of this analysis. End result is we were 13-3 regardless, why change. That is all I'm saying.

But who cares, Ted Thompson made a decision, so hopefully it works out over the full season.

go back and revisits some posts here..

People gave credit to BF for EVERY win last year and implying that w/o him they would have never won those games...

I personally can not do that...For the reasons I gave..

That is all I am getting at..Dont put EVERY win on his shoulders then blame every loss on other players

Make sense now?

bboystyle (18h) : The Green Bay Packers on Monday signed Taylor Elgersma, the Canadian-born quarterback who tried out at the team’s rookie camp last weekend
beast (19h) : There were reports four days ago that the Packers were signing QB Taylor Elgersma, but no official action since
Zero2Cool (20h) : And for Ian Rapoport to announce Saints send 1st and 2nd rounder to Packers for Malik Willis.
dfosterf (20h) : *Elgersma*
dfosterf (20h) : Today would be a good day to discover the Pack signed Taylor Engersma, the Canadian QB
Zero2Cool (11-May) : It wasn't. He simply wanted his money back. They refused. Cops came. They gave him his money in end.
dfosterf (11-May) : Fortunately it doesn't sound like a big deal

Zero2Cool (8-May) : Collin Whitchurch @cowhitchurch · 1h Chicago got a pope before it got a QB to throw for 4,000 yards in a season.
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : New Pope from Chicago; in other words, the city produced a Pope before a 4000 yard passer

Zero2Cool (7-May) : beast, you're just one R from being voluptuous.
Zero2Cool (7-May) : And now some Packers blogger is like Doubs to Steelers makes sense!!!!
Zero2Cool (7-May) : You saw me Tweet???
beast (7-May) : Supposedly Steelers will be trading WR George Pickens to the Cowboys for a 3rd and late round pick swap
Zero2Cool (5-May) : Ravens release Justin Tucker, err D. Watson Jr?
Zero2Cool (5-May) : Cardinals have signed TE Josiah Deguara.
Zero2Cool (5-May) : If I were to "Google" it, then I wouldn't read it in your words.
Martha Careful (5-May) : Yes, in the military S2’s work on IPB, PERCEC, PHYSEC and IO
dfosterf (4-May) : FYI civilian companies swipe the S2 designation from the military. S2 is the intelligence branch up to brigade level. G2 is division level.
dfosterf (4-May) : Google it. Make sure to tack NFL on it or you will get the military meaning
Zero2Cool (4-May) : S2?
beast (4-May) : Seems like the S2 has a love/hate relationship with professional scouts.
beast (4-May) : In theory, the S2 test how quickly a QBs brain can solve game like issues and how quickly they can do it.
dfosterf (4-May) : Are you gentlemen and at least one lady familiar with the S2 cognition
Zero2Cool (4-May) : Maybe there isn't an issue.
beast (4-May) : NFL really needs to fix their position labeling issue, but I don't think they care
Zero2Cool (1-May) : Packers did not activate the fifth-year options for linebacker Quay Walker, with the goal of signing him to a contract extension.
Zero2Cool (1-May) : Matthew Golden spoke with Randall Cobb before draft. Looked like chance encounter.
packerfanoutwest (1-May) : from a head left turn?
packerfanoutwest (1-May) : someone drunk?
Zero2Cool (1-May) : Unlikely.
dfosterf (30-Apr) : How long until Jeff Sperbeck's family sues John Elway ?
Zero2Cool (30-Apr) : Packers are exercising the fifth-year option on DT Devonte Wyatt, locking in a guaranteed $12.9M for the 2026 season.
