So, like expected, there's some premier talent still on the board while we go to round 2.

For us, the most interesting guys on the board to trade up for are OT Rodger Saffold, OT Bruce Campbell, OT Charles Brown, DE/OLB Sergio Kindle, DE/OLB Everson Griffin, WR Golden Tate and DE/DT Brian Price.

Especially Charles Brown and Sergio Kindle sounds good to me.

Charles has some huge upside. Great athleticism, but undersized. If you could hold him on the bench for a year, maybe a half, you could bulk him up and work on his technique a little. He'll be a great LT in this league.

Charles Brown - TJ Lang - Jason Spitz - Josh Sitton - Bryan Bulaga. That's one hell of a line right there.

I'll continue on this tomorrow, but I'll have to get some sleep now....

I really hope the Packers go with a defensive guy in the 2nd. For the names I would think of, there would have to be a trade up. Taylor Mays or Sergio Kindle.

Nate Allen and Chad Jones are still there at safety.
Akwasi Owusu-Ansah and some others are there at CB.
Jonathan Dwyer, Toby Gerhart, and Joe McKnight at RB.
And Kindle like you said at 3-4 OLB...

Taylor Mays, Dexter McCluster, Myron Lewis, Koa Misi, Sergio Kindle, Joe McKnight, Charles Brown, Roger Saffold, and Larry Asante might be names to watch.

Yeah, I don't think McCluster makes it very far in the 2nd round.

Also, I probably wouldn't have a problem with a trade up to grab Mays.

I'm excited.

While it might be good to grab another high pick OL man. We need some playmakers now; ie not ones that will be red shirted and started perhaps next year. ie bulaga may or may not start this season; and brown would be the same. We just resigned 2 verterns and I know we wanted to get lang in there also.

I agree with the others 'hopes' lets get mays, kindle, or heck even a nice back. Or Cook looks good ...

vikes got the 2nd pick this round - wonder where they might go? ... clausen? ... or perhaps shore up their secondary?

Trade up if the OLB they want/need is there, otherwise, look for Nate Allen or one of the next tier OLBs at 56. Like the Bulaga pick....

Mays at this point would feel better to me, but I'd really prefer a CB.

I agree with Twinkiegorilla.

I hope some foolhardy team takes Kindle off the board, I have no interest in him. Slow first step - which will doom him as an OLB imo.

We could end up with a real decision if we have Brown and Saffold available when we pick. Odds seem high they wont be there though.

I hope we trade Poppinga and Bush and maybe even Colledge or Spitz.

Better we trade them now rather than cut them for nothing later.

I would bet on another OT prospect in the later rounds to sort of hedge our bets at the position so to speak. Kind of like the Brohm/Flynn deal. We managed to land a top prospect in the first so it isn't vital to land another guy early.
