The draft day artful dodger, Ted Thompson, got dusted by the Denver GM for evil genius trading up and down and all around. Look at all those trades!

Did the Denver GM game the Patriots and Cowboys or the other way around? :cyclopsani:

Only thing I can figure out is that the Broncos hold the title for most trades in the first round.. accumulating picks and then dealing them to move back up.. basically in the end.. the broncos managed to save cash with all the moves.. that is about it.

They traded back a bunch of picks, and then wasted a bunch to trade back up and select Tebow. I'm not really sure any of us will know weather this was a good move until 3 years from now.

Even if Tebow turns out to be a great pick I'm still not sure that it'll be validated. Chances are Tebow would've kept falling and eventually could've drafted him in the 2nd round while picking a better prospect earlier or even just waited and conserved all the picks they had accumulated by trading down.
