From the radio:

Jared Allen was quoted as saying if he didn't sack Rodgers 5 times himself, he'll consider it a bad game.

More arrogance from the Queens. Clifton basically shut him down last time we faced him. Good luck with that Mr. Allen.

he definitely talks big. always has. key is; use that to motivate you instead of being intimidated by it. That is one thing I love about our tackles. they are practically immune to intimidation, which is a key tool for a great many DE's.

Nobody intimidates the Green Bay Packers, especally low lifes from the viqueens. More locker room clippings for our O-line people.

The last time the Packers faced Allen, he didn't have the Williams twins lined up next to him. And given the way the Packer OL has performed so far, I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss Allen. I expect him to get at least one sack on September 8th.
"There's the snap, Rodgers with a quick drop - in trouble! AND SACKED BY ALLEN! The ball is lose, the ball is lose, and recovered by Kevin Williams! And that's the ball game! Childress and the Vikings FINALLY beat the Packers!"

This reminds me of that chump who used to play for the Vikings who was good for a season or two, who was obsessed with Favre. What was his name again?

I also expect Allen to get a sack. probably more than one. it's the first game of the season, and OLine takes a while to gel, every year. plus, it's Rodg's first game ever. He will be stressed. So, yeah, Allen will get a sack or two or three. What the Packers need to do is not let it "get to them". Keep playing football, and beat the inferior team. And Allen had better hope he can be make the difference. Because if he doesn't, the Packers difference makers; Jennings, Jones, and Driver, will eat the Vikings secondary alive.

It would be one thing if Allen has been on a winning team, but he came from the Chiefs.... enuff said

lol, you lost me on that one. What does that have to do with it? If anything, the quality of players he is lined up with has gotten better now that he is with the Vikings, so we can expect him to be even better this year.

BTW, Mike Harmon has picked Allen to lead the NFL in sacks again this year.

that would be correct if Clifton was the only offensive lineman out there. The Williams twins got shut down last year 2 times including a 34-0 reaming. and Clifton didnt touch either of them.

I understand that your Dline is definitely better this year. But neither your Dline nor Jared Allen last year had anything for our Oline. I dont see why its crazy to expect the same results next year.

and if you're gonna make assumptions about our Oline based on preseason games... go right ahead. its silly, but go right ahead.

We didnt game plan for the 49ers like we should have... (like we should have in a regular season game at least). You think that we aren't already game planning for opening night? One sack is fair. 5 is downright laugable.

Zero2Cool (9h) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (9h) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (11h) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (12h) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job
dfosterf (12h) : Martha- C'est mon boulot! 😁
Zero2Cool (13h) : Thank you
wpr (13h) : Z, glad you are feeling better.
wpr (13h) : My son and D-I-L work for UM. It's a way to pick on them.
Zero2Cool (13h) : Thank you. I rarely get sick, and even more rarely sick to the point I can't work.
wpr (13h) : Beast- back to yesterday, I CAN say OSU your have been Michigan IF the odds of making the playoffs were more urgent.
dfosterf (13h) : Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.
Zero2Cool (13h) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.
Zero2Cool (13h) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (14h) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (14h) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (14h) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Oh snap!!!
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Even Stevie Wonder can see that.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Nah, you see Lions OC leaving to be HC of Bears is directly related to Packers.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ohhhhhhh Zero is in TROUBLE
packerfanoutwest (21-Jan) : Zero, per your orders, check Bearshome, not packershome
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Then he'll land with another team and flourish.
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Ben going to Bears. He'll be out in 3 years.
Mucky Tundra (20-Jan) : what's so funny?
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Bears are finalizing a deal to hire Ben Johnson as their head coach. (via @tompelissero )
Mucky Tundra (20-Jan) : Looks like Lions OC Ben Johnson is going to be the Bears coach
