 Think it would make mores sense if GB didn't start the new conditioning program. Perhaps it's not as effective as we were led to believe and last year was an anomaly or maybe the coaches aren't insuring proper warm-ups. Whatever it is it definitely needs to be addressed either by replacement players, medical treatments or just putting these guys on the bench until fully healed. Guess there's no quick or easy solution at this point as GB can't seem to get through even one game without some serious disabling injuries.

Players around the league play hurt throughout the year, Football is a physical sport and its impossible to not be hurt. You can say pretty much the same thing for any team with guys playing through some sort of pain. Am I surprised? No, we're 2-3...that surprises me.

Last season we were a team who found a way to win, we now seem like we always find a way to lose.

The difference is we have a week 10 to 12 injury list going into week 5. I didn't see the Falcons out there with that many starters out and certainly not the best two performers on one side of the ball.

You take their right DE out of there, for example, and that alone is a big difference in how they play. Just like losing Harris and Jenkins has hurt us and then take out Bigby who we definately need in there blowing up the run game.

All in all we still put a decent lineup on the field but it's not surprising the 2 is in front of the 3 in the win/loss column either.

I agree injuries are part of the game but when half your defense is out or not practicing all week don't think it won't make a difference in those close games your talking about.

Theres no doubt those injuries are crucial...But you cant keep blaming losses and poor performances on it. We just have to find a way to get it done without them.

I'm curious to see how this plays out. When we were ravaged by injuries in '05, I didn't see Ted Thompson cutting Sherman any slack even though he had a track record of winning football games (playoffs being another matter). Will he treat McCarthy the same way if McCarthy winds up with one winning season in three?

I think Bigby might be to the Packers run defense as to what Bob Sanders is to the Colts run defense.

I agree, Bigby is great at flying to the ball(just like Bob) and delivering that big hit. And with so many running backs getting to the second level so fast, having him is like a 4th linebacker.

I think Bigby is the main reason our defense is faltering. He brings energy and hard hitting to the entire unit. I am curious to see how things go when he comes back.

the o-line they are saying cliffy maybe they are right with his bad knees, but they need to stay on the field longer than 2 mins. that is hurting big time we dont have long drives it seems were 3 and out now that grant seems to be healthy maybe the run game can help out in that department,d-line bigby i hope will be back soon but some one brought up manning look at how well they are doing, they have a lot of key players out too and it is hurting the team they are trying to compensate but they are 2&2 at this point i think the pack will show up sunday and win

Every team has injuries, that's true.

But few teams have this extent of injuries and win a majority of their games.

Heck, it only took 1 injury to reduce the patriots to a middle of the pack team.

Which brings up the point that it often depends on where the injuries happen. Most of ours have been at defense and most with our best playmakers. That's going to effect our ability to stop people.

You can say "no excuses" all you want, but in reality, these injuries have changed the landscape of the beginning of the season.

Imagine it's anytime between 1995 and 2004. What if Favre went down. Would you have been surprised if that hurt our ability to win games?

Injuries are a part of the game. And like any part of the game, they effect the wins and losses.

I knew we had injuries but not that many.

Can you imagine the season we might be having if everyone was healthy?
I'm thinking we would be having last years season.

I've heard a stats that said last season we were the healthiest team in the NFL, last year.

I'm not your if the person that told me is a good source or not but other than Jolly, Cole, Wynn and Harrell, who missed a lot of time with injures?

We had a lot of guys banged out near the end of the season, but other than Pickett they all play though them. And it was said Pickett wanted to go even with the injures, but the coaches wanted to rest him up for the play offs.
