He doesn't answer my phone calls anymore, and he doesn't have voicemail available for me to leave a message. He has never saved my number to his phone, either, so the few times he has answered, the first words out of his mouth are always, "Who's this again?"

I was initially going to respond to being called an asshole, but I really couldn't come up with a legitimate counter-claim.

As to Non's specifics, I have a son hand-me-down phone, because he keeps dropping his fucking iphones in toilets, taking into the shower, dropping, etc. (the count is 6--no exaggeration) and eating up my "rights" to a new phone...so I get PM's and shit from HIS girlfriends, plus alerts to shit I don't give a rat's ass about.

I cannot hear, so that's why I might have said something along the lines of "who the hell is this?" I DO know Non's voice, but again, cannot hear...When you blow shit up for a living...well, it's a noisy business...

Well, Joe is a forgiving person- he has to be, he has absorbed a lot of shit over the years due to the nature of his contributions, plus I was having to absorb shit too, but not as good at it.

An example would be his rumor disclaimer. That is one finely honed piece of legalese/parliamentary boilerplate that has to make Wade shake his head in jealous awe, no doubt perfected as a result of the abuses endured at places like PC. (And yes, I DO have many friends there)

I am a busy man, so I don't have much time to fuck around with situational, emotional, or relational ambiguity. That's why I like being an asshole. It's amazingly liberating, because it helps makes life so crystal clear.

As for your hearing impairment, Dave, you must hide it well, because in our conversations, I've never noticed it. But if that's really the reason you don't recognize my voice, then I sincerely apologize for misconstruing your greeting. ;)
