Packers agreed to terms on a two-year deal with veteran right tackle Mark Tauscher Saturday, an NFL source said.



Tauscher, who was in Hawaii attending the NFL Players Association representatives meeting, could not be reached for comment. Details of the deal werent immediately available.

It'll be interesting how much they pay Tauscher versus Clifton. LTs usually make more, but Tauscher really played well for the Pack a year ago and he definitely deserves a chance to retain his spot.

I hope Lang or Giacomini beats out Tauscher in TC and provide us with long term stability at the position but it's certainly good having him on board.

Lang should start at LG, but be the first backup to when the inevitable injury to one of the tackles happens. I don't think we are taking a tackle in the first round anymore, not with 8 guys on the OL roster with starting experience. I now look for us to be taking an OLB, CB, or S with that first pick. I am also very inclined to think that a trade down is very possible.
