Thanks for the cheers Ironman. In case some of you missed last nights game between Montana and Weber State for the Big Sky conference championship, it was to put it mildly, unbelievable.
Montana started off completely out of sync, couldn't buy a bucket, and played like a bunch of grade school kids. At the half they are down 42-20. I figured it was over as Weber State is a great team and playing on their home court......no chance. One guy by the name of Anthony Johnson for Montana decided enough was enough and took over. Little by little the Grizzlies bit into the lead and finally tied the game then went ahead in the last two minutes.
Johnson scored 34 points in the second half, which was 9 more points than Weber State scored as a team. He scored the last 21 Grizzly points in the game. Final score: Montana 66, Weber State 65. Johnson finished with 42 points, a tournament record; school record (old record by some dude named Larry Kryskowiak); and played all 40 minutes; the last 5 with 4 fouls.
A completely stunned Weber State crowd left Dee Sports Center just shaking their heads. Unbelievable.....never say die!
