DETROIT - General Motors said Wednesday it will discontinue Hummer after its bid to sell the brand to a Chinese company failed.

GM said it was unable to complete the sale of Hummer to heavy equipment maker Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machines Co.

Did you expect something else.. :lol:

I'm curious about GM. How is it that they had grand plans to sell some brands, but for each one they were not able to complete the deal. Saab, Saturn, and now Hummer all fell through. Sounds like GM still has some problems.

I still can't believe this. Who WOULDN'T want their Chinese-built Hummer with mercury-treated leather interior, lead steering wheel, and asbestos-filled seats?
