Pretty interesting stuff. Especially that the Packers were THE best team running the ball up the middle. Just goes to show how statistics doesn't coincide with how we remember runs being played out - most people were wanting the packers to run around the ends more.

I think you might want to look at it this way...

Left verse right of the line... and you can see where the dead zone is.

Also.. take a peak at the off right end?

Now take a peak at the third chart.. we ran it 20% of the time over the left tackle spot.. and only 14% over the right.. even though production wise we we much better on the right side.

That is quite interesting. I thought that Tauscher wasn't too good a run blocker, either, tbh. The stats don't agree with me, though.

I would've expected us to be a little better running to the right. Just having Sitton there makes that big a difference. We have a very special guy at RG.

First Foster posts statistics that suggest Colledge is a top 20 guard.

Now the Engineer posts statistics that suggest GB has the top run-blocking team.

If it weren't for the fact that I'm teaching stats this term, I'd be tempted to swear off statistics entirely and become a complete fluff-brain.

You guys keep doing this and I won't have any justification at all to ...
