Today's Republicans though play on your fears - terrorists in the skies, terrorists will be attacking America soon if you don't give them a blank check, if you're not with us, you're against us (common phrase said by tyrants).

Let's not forget it was the Republicans who wanted the "Total Information Awareness." My God, if that's not Orwellian, what is?

Now Digs, I completely agree with you on the Democrats. But I stand by my saying that the choice between Democrats and Republicans is like choosing what hurts more - getting kicked in the left nut or the right nut. Both can't manage our economy, both are into big government, both are stealing our Freedoms and have no regard for our Constitution.

I just wish people would stop making excuses instead of voting 3rd Party. Do the right thing, folks. Even if it's not popular.

Again, not defending the Repubs.......but Dems in my lifetime have become soooo misguided and overtly contemptuous of anyone who disagrees...plus, they are in power, own the Presidency, Senate and House. No more blaming Bush for the ills of stupidity currently residing in our halls of power.

A guy to keep an eye on...Paul Ryan from Wisconsin. Has the balls to tell it as it is, and let's people know that govt. can no longer be their lifelong nanny. Tells of the sacrifice we must all make to correct the last several decades power-induced largess and vote buying.

Magazine subscriptions and other stuff.

I am a "subscriber" to all the liberal mags out there...Atlantic, Harper's, New Yorker etc. I get the NY Times on Fri, Sat and Sun. I get the Wash Post on Sun.

The old man is a lifetime member of the NRA, gets "Soldier of Fortune" in the mail, etc. (I try and come up with shit that even I find a tad bit whack)

He also gets the Washington Times daily. He HATES that paper, lol (I've caught him reading it, lol)

We "hook each other up." I can only imagine what our respective mailmen think of us.

First, for Dakota. Believe it or not, i don't watch Fox news channel. I actually came up with the stuff i believe by watching what's actually happening.
So Palin isn't a fancy talker. And mainstream media paints her as an idiot. Why? Is it because she's good looking? Or because she's against liberalism?
I wish people would take the time to actually check out what she has done and what she believe's before putting her down as "stupid".
Of course then they would have to set aside their hatred of republicans.
