i'm amazed that anyone who calls themselves a conservative republican can actually like palin. she cost mccain & your party the election. she's a completely ill-informed, unprepared idiot. i remember my mom thought she was GREAT when she spoke at the convention UNTIL she was interviewed by the media...now my mom doesn't say much about palin. lol.
and don't worry, veg - i don't read newspapers & rarely watch the news. i actually research people.

Yeah, because the media loves Palin so much... You kidding, right? Ever wonder why she sounded like a ditz when interviewed (especially the Kouric interviews)? Because they are slanted.

My wife and I watched her interview on Oprah and even though her voice is kinda annoying (that Alaskan-twang) she actually made sense. Lo and behold we find out that the majority of her media interviews were cut and spliced to make her look like a complete idiot.

Sorry darling, your research failed. Palin at the head of the State chair >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Osam--Obama at the head of the State chair.

Try and find a politition that they don't try to "get" like that. Palin just makes way more slip ups than anyone else. I'd make a lot of sense at the Oprah show, as well. Why do you think that everyone who has something to make up for or explain goes onto the Oprah show?

Putting frogs on poles is pretty funny, though, in a random way.

How Palin is publicly seen. She's only seen the 'idiot' because her blunders are widely publicized in the main stream media. Believe it or not, they have an agenda.

i don't get why suddenly teleprompters are a sign of weakness among speakers. jfc - they've been used for quite some time now by MANY people. is that REALLY an issue now?? come ON! this is the last time i'll be looking at this thread because it's becoming a little less 'friendly' than it should be. i see several people giving their inch but others not willing to move a centimeter.

so keep calling him osama, a communist, & a nazi.
blame the democrats/republicans/whomever for everything that's wrong with this country, & excuse the dems/reps/whomever for their input into what's wrong with this country...spinning your wheels & doing nothing to open your mind to the idea that everyone should be held accountable.

George Mason University students established an interface to track your stimulus package dollars at work.

Take a moment and browse through some of them.

My personal favorite is the grant to track voting trends in Sub-Sahara Africa, but your results may vary.

4packgirl...the point about the teleprompters is people/media are assigning a whole lot of smarts to this bobo on the hill because of his eloquence when speaking. The reality is, he has stuck his foot in his mouth every time I have seen him speak without the words written and in front of his nose.

But beyond that, what special type of fool needs a teleprompter when speaking to a room full of elementary school kids? That would be the Messiah.

I have little regard for either party, but this guy is nothing more than a well backed hack whose "brilliance" shall never be known because his academic records remain sealed. Trust me, this guy is so far from special....unless we are talking the Olympics.

Note to those few (?any?)that take the time and trouble to watch a WHOLE eight minutes and 37 seconds of video.

The "change" solution?

Look at the most egregious spin doctors in that video. What do they all have in common? Why, they are now in CHARGE of not only fixing that, they are running our banking system, regulatory system, etc.

In 2004, when the Bush appointed regulators were attempting to reign in Freddie and Fannie, the Dems called for their termination---They were "heartless"...remember? No?

Incredible.

Keep blaming Bush. It's easy, convenient, and requires no work on your part, plus it's popular and also reinforces your biases. The truth is harder to come by, and by now the fantasy is so deeply entrenched there is no "change".

Bush was a lousy president, imo. President Obama is a skillful campaigner, but he is not only a bad president, in these times having that man in charge, coupled with these Democrats running both houses...God help us.

Both parties are self-interested and disconnected from reality....but Democrats cater to the worst of human instincts, and are downright dangerous in their world views and inability to master 6th grade math.

Funny thing...my Democrat friends ALWAYS talk about how "smart" their candidates are (especially the current office holder)...which of course means all others are stupid. But more to the point, how about discussing whether they have the wisdon the wield ther intellect effectively.

They do not...few of them do. But, it almost takes on a cult-like feel where everyone else is wrong, and master is always right. Anyone who wishes to discuss the sad state of politics without acknowledging that both sides brought us to this sad point is a fool and blinded by party ideology.

I voted against Bush both times. He was worse than I expected. I voted against Obama, too. He's been . . . about what I expected.

Oh....Repubs have their shit. But from my perspective, one party caters and promotes the worst in people and society.

Make another illigitimate kid, get more cash.

Keep dad out of the picture, get more cash.

You are a victim of society, not of your own repeated mistakes, get some cash.

Empty all the equity out of your home for fun and games, and suddenly find ourself upside down...we will bail you out...you are a victim.

Too stupid/lazy to get a state I.D....no ID needed to vote.

Who inflames racial tension with the industry that is Revs. Al and Jesse?

Too stupid/lazy to bring the kids to neighborhood clinics for shots...we will spend a fortune to bring the service to your door.

Do you really need me to get into education...owned by the Dems and their unions for decades...and the fine job they are doing giving kids from bad situations the ONE leg up that may benefit them in life?

How about the sad state of our cities...Dem controlled with few exceptions?

Look, the Repubs are no innocents, but more bad has been done in this world as a result of good intentions gone bad, versus malicious intent. To me, it seems being a Dem is about feeling good about what you do, and not so much about the good (or lack thereof) your programs do.

In some ways this is kind of fun. It reminds me of my arguments with my dad when Reagan was elected. God, my old man hated him. I loved him.

We both agreed on one thing, to a degree...he was a bit of an idiot, but my position was that America needed his form of lunacy. (e.g.-I think he just might have scared the shit out of Khomeini--he had ME nervous at the time, lol)

John McCain went to the Supreme Court and watched the oral arguments regarding the corporations being allowed to air political commercials. Hopefully most know that he has been attempting (mostly in vain, notwithstanding McCain/Feingold to change the way we elect and finance our congressmen/women/Senators/Presidents)

I wonder if any of our other elected representatives did so.

I also wonder if anyone here knew that, or even care.

Let's put up another funny video!

Probably not. Sen. McCain might not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but he is a far cry from the caricature the lazy amongst us have him pegged at.

I like him in the Senate. He is where he belongs. I voted for him for President, because I had to.
