This is a great analysis of the INT. I wouldn't recommend it if your a Vikings fan, it will hurt hurt hurt.

However, it shows how AWESOME football is. Look at all that happened in that play, I love this game. If Vilma doesn't audible, its an EASY 5-7 yard completion to Berrian.

Also, pause it around 2:25, I dont' really see the wide open 10-15 yards of running room everyone talks about. The referee is standing at the line of scrimmage (the 38). On one bad leg, TWO defenders there, I doubt he gets more than 3 or 4. He threw it from the 41 or 42. So just to get to the line of scrimmage would have been 3-4 yards. Which still sets up the 51-52 yard FG, so he still f'd up no matter what way you look at it.

Overall, bad decision to throw it to Rice and bad throw it as it had no velocity because it was across his body. He probably didn't sleep for days, lol. And he shouldn't, what a bad series of events. It was almost like it was destined for him to take the fall.

He was probably better off to move around some more and wait for something. Thats where I criticize him. Its not the not running for it as I think one bad leg, two defenders and Favre never running. When is the last time Favre ran it? He had more time, bad decision, and an even worse throw.

Vikings fans' have nothing to fret about, this is something they're used to seeing.

Good analysis, but I think he could have hit Berrien towards the end of the play instead of throwing it to Rice.

Berrian opened up very late, and when he was going, he had his back to Brett. Can't really blame him for looking else where.

I wish I could get those overhead views of every play. Great analysis.

Berrian was looking back over his right shoulder, then turned up field. He did look back when at the sideline. But to expect Brett to just sit and follow him would be unreasonable. Berrian also had that CB on him until Brett late when it appeared Brett was throwing to the middle. Brett could have got him with a fake. But that is all a lot to expect in such a short distance.

Throw it away or take what he could get on the ground. Anything but the throw he made.

Its Brett though I guess. Live and die with him. If he makes that throw, everyone is happy and screaming about how he's a gunslinger. He was trying to make a play out of nothing, nothing new or surprising. Sometime it works, and sometimes it doesn't. Thats why he's no Joe Montana.

I think he definitely could have ran and gotten a minimum of three yards. That's a minimum. More then likely closer to 5. Bad leg or not, I guarantee you at that point he's not feeling any pain. Later yes, but not at that moment. If he was able to move enough to bootleg out of the pocket then he would have been good enough for 3-5 yards. I'm confident in that statement.

Now, 3-5 yards doesn't guarantee a win by no means. It does, however, give your team a CHANCE to win. That's all most teams can ask for; just give em a chance to win late in the game, especially with a highly accurate kicker. Favre threw away that chance. He played a good game, yes, but in the end he took away his teams chance to win. Ultimately, it doesn't matter if you played a good game if you also cost your team the game. Now, pressure in your face and a fumble (like the pack-cards game) is a little different. Rodger's had people in his face quickly and didn't have a ton of choices. I'm not clearing Rodger's of blame, just saying it's a little different situation. Heck, even if you only gain ONE yard it still at least gives your team a chance. Better then the alternative.

It's too bad that his otherwise good performance ends on such a boneheaded play. Oh well. I can't say that I mind much at all.

The defenders were going backwards, Favre forwards. Had he just run, he would of at LEAST got back to the line of scrimmage. 52 yarder at the most. At least you give your guy a chance.
But what can ya do? He's been like that his whole career. You'd think he would have learned his lesson.

He was 100% over the last two years 50 yards or more. 2 for 2 last season and the one prior, 6 for 6.

Unless I'm reading your comment wrong, because it looks like he was 50%.

Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : sounds like Packers don't get good compensation, Jaire staying
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (16-Apr) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (16-Apr) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (16-Apr) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers had fortunate last three drafts.
dfosterf (15-Apr) : I may have to move
dfosterf (15-Apr) : My wife just told the ancient Japanese sushi dude not enough rice under his fish
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I think a dozen is what I need
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Go fund me for this purpose just might work. A dozen nurses show up at 1265 to provide mental health assistance.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : what
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : WINNING IT, not someone else losing it. The best victory though was re-uniting with his wife
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : The manner in which he won it was just amazing and wonderful. First blowing the lead then getting back, then blowing it. But ultimately
Zero2Cool (12-Apr) : I'm guessing since the thumb was broken, he wasn't feeling it.
dfosterf (10-Apr) : Looking for guidance. Not feeling the thumb.
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : If they knew about it or not
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : I don't recall that he did which is why I asked.
Zero2Cool (10-Apr) : Guessing they probably knew. Did he have cast or something on?
