Rodgers had Ellis, Mario Williams and Duvervil or however you spell his name to thank for his life lol. They each could have laid Rodgers out and actually just stopped and watched Rodgers step up and throw. Rodgers long td pass he should have been dead but the defender actually just stopped along side of Rodgers.

That happened twice. The other time he got sacked. Next to that, Schaub had the same luxury, so you can't really hold that against him.

Next to that, OLBs can't blitz in the Pro Bowl. Dumervil never even came close to him.

Well Williams had him and actually stopped and Rodgers is actually heard saying ty to him, and watch the video on packers.com and they show Ellis just standing next to Rodgers on his bomb, i didnt see the nfc rushers do that. Hell Rock me and you could have put up big yards against that defense lol

You're right. They played sissy defense. And I hated it. I was actually happy when Williams took him down.

The reason you didn't see the NFC do that, is because they stopped playing before they passed their blocker.

Allen said that he would play hard. That he couldn't do anything but playing hard. When watching him, though, you could see that he gave up after making hand contact on nearly every single play. He just got out of his 3 point stance, put his hand on the tackle and started watching the play develop.

And not in a good way, he just stood there, watching.

I agree, we could've put up some big numbers. Although my arm strength doesn't allow me to throw the ball a whole lot further than, what? 20 Yards? And that is while rainbowing it. Lol.

Yeah, I'm sure that wasn't because the NFC rushers weren't even trying hard enough to even get into that position or anything...

I disagree with the implication expressed in this thread that the MVP award should automatically go to a player on the winning team.

It USUALLY goes to a player on the winning team. Just like in the super bowl. I know a losing player won it at least once(in the SB), but i can't remember who or what year.
But it's VERY rare.

Chuck Howley, a linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys, won the MVP in SB V despite ending up on the losing side against the Baltimore Colts. I believe he is the only player to have won the MVP while playing for the losing side.

Thanks Mi_keys. I THOUGHT it was a Cowboy, but i couldn't remember for sure.
I guess that shows it IS pretty rare. One in 43 years.
