From a Viking fan standpoint..
Yes, I'd welcome Favre back.
No, I have no problem with the 'will he-won't he' talk. Pssst.. Guess what Packer fans? We knew what we were getting into when we signed him. We are very well aware of how he likes time to make up his mind. Meanwhile, he won't thow a pissing fit when/if we go into free agency/draft for a QB. It's a win-win, despite the chants of "Feel our pain Queen fans!!!!"
T-Jack has expressed how he wants to stay in Minnesota. Will he? I don't know.. is there a team out there dumb/desperate enough to give him an obnoxious offer? If not, then T-Jack will remain a Viking.
I can't think of any more 'issues' to touch on, so that is all.

You know, you do make a couple very good points here, though as a Packers fan they are a bit disappointing. This is totally different.
- You know he's just a 'rental' - seriously, if he's there another year it's just a bonus, because most Vikes fans never expected him to play more than a year. This is completely different than those initial years when he'd start up with the "I don't know if I have anything left" talk after the final game and then let us twist in the wind until sometime in June or July.
- You don't have to walk on eggshells around him. Since he's really a 1-2 year solution, nobody - not even him - would bat an eye if you spend a high draft pick on a QB or pick someone up via FA. That's just common sense. Again, this is in stark contrast to the shit storm Rodgers' drafting stirred up.
- Finally - and this is the one that will really taste sour to the Packer faithful - I'm willing to bet that he'll make whatever decision quickly and will stick with it. He knows he's burned bridges in the past. He knows that he's lost some fans over the past couple years. He's now in a position (again) where he's truly beloved. I think he's probably learned that lesson, and Vikes fans will know what the future holds in short order.
I'm not jealous you got Favre - we Packers fans are ridiculously lucky and have our QB future set solidly in front of us with Rodgers. But I am a little jealous that you all
won't 'suffer like us', and in fact likely won't suffer at all. Rats.
