The offense didn't "just" have a bad game, it's been mostly bad for the last 6 games. Something is wrong between last year and this year. Jordy Nelson being gone is not the reason this offense looks worse than it did in 2013 when we pulled Matt Flynn off the street. Rodgers is shellshocked or has the yips or is hurt or something. Either way this offense isn't going to get any better until he gets right. We played a garbage defense this week and once again couldn't get anything going until late in the game. I honestly at this point wouldn't mind seeing one of the back ups in for a spell just to see if something gets going. Maybe they'll get a chance if we get blown out by Minnesota early next week.

When a major league pitcher is performing as bad as Rodgers did today, he would be pulled in favor of a relief pitcher.
That is what should have happened today.
That doesn't mean he has to miss his next start.

I still hate Burt and his untouchable status, and for about a year or so have seen Aaron Rodgers mimic some Burt traits. I hate it and think he's playing some of his worst football ever.

That said, what did benching kaepernick do? Public humiliation is about all and how productive is that for a QB going forward? Some closed door tongue lashings are in order, but I don't see how benching a defending MVP, as bad as he's playing, would accomplish anything productive aside from satisfying our knee jerk urges to find an effective scapegoat.

Peyton Manning was pulled because he's injured and should not have been playing at all. Peyton has a foot and rib injury. The head coach already acknowledged blame for his error.

Oh you are one of those "fans". Ok Mr Fix-it,,,,,,,how do you plan on fixing things?

It's bad form to call into question the type of fan another person is when you spent most of the game in chat trolling other fans for watching the game.

Benching a starting NFL QB is generally public shaming. RG3 and Kaep are great examples - and at the time of their benching the talk was if those two would ever play a down for their team again. Is that where we want this to lead to? Aaron Rodgers never playing another down for the Packers? That's honestly the type of message that is conveyed if/when that happens.

By no means am I excusing what we're seeing with Aaron Rodgers at the moment. I just don't think benching accomplishes much. Even M.M. was fairly guarded and tight lipped in responses to questions about benching Lacy last week. He knows it does nobody any good to publicly ridicule them.

This is all purely laughable. Packers fans are the best fans on the planet, but also the most whiney and spoiled due to our recent success. We sucked as an offense today. The blame doesn't go on one person. Rodgers missed some throws, Receivers missed some catches, O-line missed some blocks, Starks missed some holes, the list goes on.

Guess what? We have an entire 7 game season ahead, plenty of time to fix things, have some faith, show some support, and stop the whining!

Players would have no problems w/ AR's missed throws; its life in football, guys have bad games/have bad stretches. Rodgers is mad about the offense; he doesnt like it and he is whining like a little bitch. This i causing untold MENTAL mistakes: throwing deep to Adams on 3rd and 3 at end of series; 1st an 10 Aaron Rodgers rolls left, he has 10 yards of green grass pulls up throws deep to who knows where and gets clocked by Ansah; 3rd and long deep in GB territory the perfect match-up Abby on Whitehead [LB] and Rodgers doesnt even look at Abby, but instead throws some wounded duck out to Cobb.

I told you this last week: Right know Rodgers is a cancer; his little debutante and superior than you attitude couple with his lack of preparation and MENTAL execution is bringing everyone down.

I think it was the first half in the play you alluded to when he overthrew on the left sideline when he had yards of green grass in front - it didn't escape Aikman either. Clearly his accuracy is off right now, and almost as bad is his decision making.

All this greatest QB on the planet talk and comparisons to Michael Jordan have done Rodgers no favors.
Benching him when he has clearly gone off the rails MAY have produced a win yesterday.
What we do know is that the Packers lost to arguably the worst team in the NFL.
And alot of that falls on Rodgers poor play.

beast (20-Apr) : I'm not sure they have different playbooks for different OL positions, and Dillard run blocking is supposedly worse than his pass blocking..
dfosterf (19-Apr) : The only problem with that is he isn't a guard either.
