Yes, not having fans present creates a competitive disadvantage. Especially for teams that enjoy a significant advantage from having a loud, raucous home stadium. Florio is still full of it. Not having fans in the stands is NOT a competitive disadvantage. It creates a more level playing field not a disadvantage. But the home field team should still
have a slight advantage. They are after all, at home. It is simply not as big of an advantage as they are used to having.

Florio is a bitch.

As for the Vikings surrounding the most points in their history in an opener to the Packers:

Quick Reality Check

The Vikings scored 34 points against the Packers.

Great offensive shows are great, but rarely repeatable. The Packers will need improve on defense as the season moves forward.

I prefer the stat of the 43 points being the most points any Zimmer Vikings defense has given up... of course the old record was 42, but that was set in Zimmer Vikings first meeting with Rodgers back in 2014 before he got to make it indepth his.

As for Flirio's excuse, I think context is key, if he means it's a disadvantage from what a home team would normally have, then he's right, if he meant there was just purely disadvantage, then he's being a crybaby making excuses.

Vikings only scored 10 points through 3 quarters...

But yeah, teams that don't get.behind with run the ball more.and better QBs might be able to do more than Cousin and good OLs will give us hell, especially if we don't have Clark.

You are right as usual. However, a team that requires excessive crowd noise to be a good team really isn't a good team.

Again you are correct about the defense. MN may have scored 34 points but the Packers were up by 2-3 scores for most of the second half. Right or wrong the Packer defense was coasting. They stepped up big time in the 1st half when it mattered more.

Qualifying the Vikings 34 points is like the fairy tail king that believed he was wearing cloths. The fact remains that GB had 34 points scored on them.

I can guarantee that the GB Coaches have not conveniently overlooked this point. Much attention will be paid correcting weaknesses that the Vikings took advantage of. GB's Defense should do well against Detroit, but they will face a much better Saints team on the road in week 3.

Someone claimed Zimmer said the Packers played a different defense in the 4th quarter, suggesting why they were able to rally in the end... so the defense took the foot off the petal.

Also don't you dare over look the Lions! Kenny Clark is injured and they have Adrian f****** Peterson and love to run the ball, plus the Packers CBs could cover Lions WR Kenny Golliday last year until he got injured... the Lions will surely be looking to run over our defense like the 49ers...

Which yes running over our defense like the 49ers has become a stupid, annoying cliche but with powerful linemen is the Lions preferred methods and RB Peterson has given us hell over the years...

We won both games against the Lions by the skin of our teeth last year.
So I’m not taking anything for granted.

Amen. There are no bonus points for a larger winning margin.

Zero2Cool (14-Sep) : For some reason, I thought Cardinals beat 49ers twice last year, so I picked Cardinals yesterday.
beast (14-Sep) : 49ers defense has always struggled against mobile QBs, Cards and Hawks in the division can give them hell, and Cards have a ton of offensive weapons, tons of WRs.
Cheesey (14-Sep) : Me too Zero! I actually went to the Packers/Cowboys NFC title game in Dallas in 96. The plane ride home was awful. I hate the Plowboys!
Zero2Cool (14-Sep) : Fake noise is the lose. I want real audio. I wanna hear the coaches complain about a dumb play. I wanna hear the players talking shit. :-)
Zero2Cool (14-Sep) : Cowboys. Always crash an burn. Never another option. Still bitter about the 90s.
Mucky Tundra (14-Sep) : I'm torn on wanting them to crash and burn or play well, reach the playoffs and then bow out in stupid fashion
TheKanataThrilla (14-Sep) : I thought that McCarthy going to Cowboys would make me hate them less. Didn't happen. Go Rams.
Mucky Tundra (14-Sep) : hey now, I said just on road team scoring TDs, not all the time
Zero2Cool (14-Sep) : I would rather they stop piping noise period. It provides nothing and blocks out hearing the players. Who wants that? No one. We want to hear the players say SIT DOWN BITCH
Mucky Tundra (14-Sep) : *wish they
Mucky Tundra (14-Sep) : watching highlights from around the league, i sorta with they would pipe in booing whenever a road team scores a TD
Cheesey (13-Sep) : Mucky....you mean the “Bungles”!!!🤪
Mucky Tundra (13-Sep) : Typical Bengals, drive down the field for a last second FG and they miss. That's what I get for picking them
Mucky Tundra (13-Sep) : I really haven't paid much attention to anything this offseason. Did they lose a bunch of people or what?
Zero2Cool (13-Sep) : 49ers suck. They're down. They be done. Run over. Next.
Mucky Tundra (13-Sep) : Are the Cardinals that good or is it just one of those divisional game type things?
nerdmann (13-Sep) : Time of possession was AWESOME.
Zero2Cool (13-Sep) : ELIAS: Minnesota's 18:44 time of possession today is its lowest in a regular game since the league started recording TOP as a stat in 1977.
Zero2Cool (13-Sep) : Monday you can expect J. Veldheer flying into GB.
Zero2Cool (13-Sep) : NFL Picks should be good now
Mucky Tundra (13-Sep) : It does work, believe it or not
Zero2Cool (13-Sep) : Does the chat room still work?
Smokey (13-Sep) : Cheers \_/'s
Smokey (13-Sep) : Cheers \_/'s
Tezzy (13-Sep) : Go Pack Go ! \_/
Zero2Cool (13-Sep) : Kenny Golladay is inactive. I was excited at first, then realized... Vikings are the enemy this week, not Lions.
Cheesey (13-Sep) : We haven’t had the normal build up for the game. No practice we could watch, no preseason.
