Time to familiarize myself with the names of eligible draft picks.
Still some underclassmen who haven't committed but never to early to start.
Not going to worry about the "score" , this is a game, the more you trade, the higher your score.
Offense scores higher than defense
Traded down once, sitting at 30, gained a 3rd rnd pick and still got a 1st day player in Taylor.

Your Picks:
Round 2 Pick 3 (DET): Jonathan Taylor, RB, Wisconsin (A)
Round 2 Pick 30: Jalen Hurts, QB, Oklahoma (A-)
Round 3 Pick 9 (JAX): Paddy Fisher, ILB/OLB, Northwestern (A-)
Round 3 Pick 30: Alaric Jackson, OT, Iowa (A+)
Round 4 Pick 30: Tuf Borland, OLB, Ohio State (A+)
Round 5 Pick 29: Tanner Muse, SS/FS, Clemson (A+)
Round 6 Pick 30: Isaiahh Loudermilk, DT, Wisconsin (A+)
Round 7 Pick 4: Marcus Keyes, OG, Oklahoma State (A+)
Round 7 Pick 28: Stephen Guidry, WR, Mississippi State (A+)
Round 7 Pick 29: Michael Pittman, WR, USC (A+)

One thing I observed right off is the lack of ILB's.
Gutey wants one he will have to grab him early.

Well, it's a start.

I like Kenneth Murray out of Oklahoma. David Woodward as a possible later round guy or if we decide to draft 2. I think last year was our chance to draft a stud ILB, but we didn't trade to the spot needed to draft them.

it’s hard to look at the draft board without knowing what we’re going to do free agency, so I will simply point out what our needs are.

WR is the biggest need on this team and the round one pick fell to me.

Makes 9 picks, 7 A's and 2 B's and end up with a C+. Makes sense!

While the scoring might be wonky, it is a fun little way to kill time and learn some names etc.

Pretty sure that's the same grading scale my High School teachers used. Yah, umm, that's it!

One of the first things I noticed about this draft is that there was a real scarcity of kickers. Fortunately, one or two fell to me in the seventh round, so I scooped them up. I was especially pumped to nab the guy with the awesome name of Jet Toner. 😂

I was also beyond thrilled that the burner Juwan Johnson fell to me in the fifth. I feel like I got incredible value for him there. And Tyler Mabry in the sixth was an absolute steal.

Finally, as buckeyepackfan noted, there weren't many ILBs in this draft, so I made the best of a bad situation.

Haha. That's one way to do things. If one of them at each position doesn't work then we're real screwed anyway.

I'm sitting here howling at work. I probably shouldn't be on this website right now.

What's this draft scream? It screams SUPER BOWL BABY!!

The overall grade seems odd, though.

By far the highest grade I've ever gotten in this game. Straight A's across the board. I don't think I did half bad for myself. 😁

Must be my age but I hate these things.
I prefer to wait for the real thing.

Alas, I am still the only Neanderthal contributor who can't seem to post a picture or screen shot. Regardless, here are my picks:
1. Austin Jackson OT USC
2. Justin Madubulke IDL Texas A&M
3. Tyler Biadasz G Wisconsin
4. Colin Johnson WR Texas
5. Cody Parkinson TE Stanford
6. Antionio Gibson RB Memphis
7. Luc Bequette IDL California
8. Robert Landers IDL Ohio State
9. T.J Brunson LB South Carolina

Also
- I am planning on addressing ILB primarily through free agency
- My rating is A++++++ (Actually I made that up...I am also to stupid to have found it on the draft site)

My only concern with that draft is that I think we need 2 ILBs and I don't know if you can solve both our ILB needs by FA. I don't think Burks is going to amount to anything and Martinez is gone. I do like a Tackle and a Center as I can see us moving on from Bulaga and Linsey. I would hope we get a short term deal for Bulaga, but a draft pick and Veldheer may also be a consideration depending on the price tag that Bulaga will command and our cap situation.

Any mock you see drafting for need is a mock you need to ignore. Quality franchises draft the best player available. Your position of need in April/May might not be the position of need in August. So you stockpile the best available players.
