Not everybody needs to be a Ted Thompson boot licker or think Aaron Rodgers is the next coming of Dan Marino.

Who here is or thinks either of those things?

You have to have differences of opinion or all you got is "The Stepford Wives".

Great point, but even among the Ted Thompson and Aaron Rodgers supporters there is a surprising diversity of opinions. :)

Their are a number of peaple on this board that don't want to hear any negative opinions about Thompson and/or Rodgers and anyone who expresses those opinions are automatically called "haters".

Diversity of opinions is a good thing.

I could have been wrong, but I sensed an exaggerated irony in Yooper's words.

Whoa, dude!
I aam emphatically (if you know what that means) an Aaron Rodgers fan and I'm still hoping that Ted Thompson brings an enduring success back to Green Bay.
I have been a Packer fan since 1956 so I have seen it all and I reserve my right to call em as I see em.
The way I see it right now we are a young team on the cusp of greatness, but I also think anybody that posts here has the right to disagree.

He is right DH...

You have a passion for your opinions and even tho we disagree, and you say things that have no factual basis ( Aaron Rodgers in HOF, or he does no wrong type stuff)

your passion is right there with lot of people here

Inexplicably, Mike McCarthy, who has the best red-zone quarterback in the league, then calls 3 consecutive runs for a grand total of 6 yards (all on the first play), and the Packers are forced to settle for a 19-yard field goal.

This is what I've been complaining about all season. Thanks for showing a concrete example of what I meant.
Mike McCarthy was very aggressive in '07. If that had been the '07 MM, you would have had 3 consecutive pass plays and one of them would have probably resulted in a TD to Driver or Gregorious.

In defense of Woody, that one play where he got burned you have to give more credit to Steve Smith than saying Woody screwed up. Steve Smith is superhuman. The guy is simply amazing. I don't think any other WR in the NFL would have caught that one, if I remember it correctly.

Sometimes you can do everything right but your opponent just simply bests you. Happens in tennis. Happens in football as well.

What's that old saying"great players make great plays" S. Smith is a great player, go back and watch and you will see him getting away with a push on CW to get the seperation he needed to make the play.

It's only illegal if the ref calls it.

Totally agree with you on this one Z.

agree with buckeye (Gonna write it in my calendar, so I don't forget this day! lol). Part of being an elite player, is learning the tricks to get away with marginal penalties. the best WR's learn how to subtly push off. that's the way it goes. Smith made a hell of a play.
