As a Monday Night Football analyst, former NFL head coach Jon Gruden has developed a reputation for offering nothing but positive commentary: This guy is great, that guy is great, every guy is great. Although Gruden has built a successful media career with that approach, he also takes some criticism for fans and members of

STFU Arodge.

We all know that if Gruden ever said the slightest negative thing about Aaron, it'd be the next big thing to "motivate" Aaron to overcome the perceived sleight.

Don't know about Magic, but he's spot on about Gruden. Him with Jaworski is just awful. "And there's a throw that only one or two other quarterbacks in the NFL can make. Watch this. Just spectacular."

Dude, you're talking about Mark Sanchez. Also, it was a dump-off in the flat...

I usually have to put them on mute.

I find it hilarious and kind of sad how Nerdmann attempts to bash Aaron Rodgers for his sources of motivation. He does something you could never imagine doing and whatever it takes to keep him motivated for such a grueling sport is absolutely fine by me (within reason of established law and order, rhetorically).

Frankly, if anyone needs to "STFU" about this kind of stuff, it's definitely Nerdmann.

Moreover, there's a big difference between "obsessing" and using something for motivation. You're obviously missing that. Many of us look for inspiration and/or motivation anyway we can get it. It definitely doesn't mean that we are obsessing over any of the sources of motivation, though. That's just a bunch of assuming and conjecture on your part.

As color commentators, both Magic Johnson and gruden suck to high heaven. Hell in football, only the insufferable Phil Simms keeps him from being at the bottom of the heap. Like Magic in basketball, he adds nothing to the conversation. No clarity or insight, notices almost nothing I the fan haven't already picked up on with my own eyes and his awful superlatives about THIS GUY and THAT GUY got old 3 years ago.

He makes me miss the old Monday Night radio team of Jack Buck and Hank Stram.

I thought Aaron's comment was humorous, very tame, and pretty accurate. Further, he did not come across as some asshole in saying what he said. . . I'd bet even Gruden got a little chuckle out of it.

Magic, maybe not so much...

Excellent insight hahahaha. I always liked Gruden. He seems to show proper respect for the Packers.
