Afraid it might be too late for replacing the DC. Arizona Cardinals and Indianapolis Colts are looking for head coaches and will both be plucking a defensive coordinator from slim pickings already. Packers would have needed to remove Joe Barry after the season and they would have been able to pick from many.
I don't much care for any DC that allows defenders to play off coverage so much, but I really don't think Joe Barry is the main issue. When watching the games, it really seemed players were not executing. And maybe that was because Jerry Gray (who interviewed for DC and lost out to Barry) was trying to distance himself from Barry's scheme?
Maybe thinking Jerry Gray was right and amazing, maybe we should consider the "communication" troubles were founded from the secondary coach distancing himself from the head guys scheme?
If anything, the more I think about it, the more I think Gray's antics make it seem like Barry is less the problem.
