I agree with Cheesey, except he put it nicely. Some day, she WON'T be there. Sad reality of life. Cherish the moments you have left with her.

Yes, she was overstepping her boundaries. Have a talk with her. Let her know that you'll be fine, you can take care of yourself, and if anything, you're going to outlive her and it's you who should worry, not her. That might put things in perspective for her.

I like touch from friends, hugs, handshakes, etc. I'm just talking about intrusion on our lives where we got thugs (legalized) touching us. That stuff freaks me out. It's probably because I've read one too many history books and know how it's going to end.

Oh I agree with both of you. I really don't hold anything against my mom. In fact it's not really her fault--I'm the one with the issue. I've also recognized it's a problem and have overcome it for the most part. I have a great relationship with my mom albeit a weird one. But what maternal relationship isn't a bit odd?



I still agree with you here Z. I believe that a lot of times most people just want to be touched, hugged, or held without any sexual implications. But I also think most people don't understand that idea and end up in sexually and emotionally compromising positions.
