What are we going to do with certain players like Cobb, McCaffrey, Clark, Jones, Hill, etc. ?

How can you risk putting this guy through to the PS? Someone is going to claim him. He's just an unusual player. I really don't know how he is on ST's or if he's even on them, but how do you let him go? The RZ has been an issue for us. With Marty B and Clark it shouldn't but I don't see how he's kept on the roster unless there's a trade or surprise cut.

McCaffrey is the darling of camp at the WR position. Guy gets it...high floor but no ceiling kind of a guy. Honestly, I'd take him over Geronimo or if we happen to deal Cobb.

What are we going to do with RC18's salary? He's a big time player when healthy which he rarely is. If Max McCaffrey can play the slot along with Jordy and 2 TE sets are going to reduce his targets anyway, why would we pay that much? Hoping we can trade Cobb for something even though he is one of my all time favorite Packers. I just see he affords a nice bargaining chip and we can potentially replace him for a major cap savings.

Taysom Hill is now ahead of Joe Callahan. Do you keep 3 QB's? OR...Do you trade Hundley and make Hill your #2? Hard to envision keeping 3 when we are going to have a hard time getting to the magic number. According to Packers cheerleader, Wes Hodkiewicz, Taysom threw one of the prettiest balls he'd ever seen to Clark for a TD over House.

Running back is crowded. How many do we keep there? Ty Montgomery is a lock and I would say so is Jamaal Williams. Rip is good at ST's and fills in well at RB minus the fumbles. Are we going to keep 5 at this position or 4? Jones or Mays would have to be released to get to 4. Could we go FB free and release both Rip and Kerridge to get to 4 RB's? Mike McCarthy loves his FB's so I gotta think Rip sticks.

How does Ahmad Brooks potential signing affect the roster? He'll eat up Biegel's PUP slot, so no extra body we have right now could be slotted in there.

Should be a very interesting end of the week.

When you have all the WR's on the club with their jaws dropped akin to when NBA players are in awe of a guy's dunk at the slam dunk contest, you know you have a guy with some unique ability.

He is a redzone mismatch. Aaron was trying to recruit a 6'7 TE a year or two back so you know he's got to be intrigued by a guy with Clark's height.

If you release him some WR needy team very well may take a chance on him and you lose but can you really keep him?

Clark is also the youngest guy on the team. You bring in a raw but super talented young undrafted guy to see what hes got, if he looks lost and isn't picking things up then cut him loose and try for PS but if he's picking up the offense and taking coaching you have to keep him. A raw guy with sky high talent and ability who is showing improvement is a gem and I don't think it's worth the risk of losing for the sake of Geronimo Allison (or some other similar player).

Ran 4.53 at pro day...terrible vertical at 33" and 3 cone was abysmal at 7.54. He was said to have struggled with his vertical so I don't know if it was an off day considering he was a basketball player or if he just can't jump that well?

EDIT: Here's an intriguing option... release Richard Rodgers and make him our 3rd TE. I saw this on a blurb from FoxSports.com:

Has played one year of college football after transferring from St. Francis (Pa.), where he played basketball in 2014-15, and then sitting out the required one season. … The last time he played organized football was a freshman in high school. … In 2016, had 37 receptions for a team-high 632 yards with five touchdowns (which was tied for the most on the Thundering Herd). … Listed as 6-7, 212. … Likely will try to be a tight end in the pros.

I've always been opposed to Richard Rodgers...no upside...just as vanilla as they get. Someone like Clark would be far more intriguing yet much less reliable. It doesn't sound like they tried him at TE at all. I wonder why?

3 cone is scary bad. Vertical was brutal. Davante goes 39.5...making him the same "size" in essence when you add in his vertical and height vs. Clark and his. Just guessing...but Clark probably can jump higher than 33". Not sure why his 3 cone was so terrible, though? Can't change direction well. Not fluid. Might be too limited to be anything more than a RZ threat or a chain mover.

He isn't your field stretcher like Moss. He's your go up and get it like Davante was touted to be when drafted. Mike McCarthy likes those big guys running down the middle of the field. Clark is exactly that. Can't wait to see what they do with him. I think he'll be cut and claimed by another team.

The House quote is pretty incredible in this Clark pub piece from today:

“The beginning part is easy,” House said of covering Clark on a fade. “It’s just trying to out-jump him. It’s almost impossible. I don’t think anyone has won a jump ball with him this year so far.”

Fan Shout
Martha Careful (21h) : 1. this is true of all our linemen. 2. His run block is fine. 3. If all OL played like he has, we would win SB.
beast (23h) : Meyers pass blocking is really good, his run blocking is really not.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : Packers have claimed DE Spencer Waege off of waivers from the 49ers and waived DT Rodney Mathews.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : And the OL protections seem to be good.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : I really don't know lol. I don't see him getting blown up.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : -3 buwahhhahaaha
Mucky Tundra (9-May) : 4th
Zero2Cool (9-May) : because he's 1st
Mucky Tundra (9-May) : Myers isn't even the 3rd best C on the roster atm
Martha Careful (9-May) : I am not sure I understand the Myers hate. He was consistently our third best lineman. RG and LT were worse.
beast (9-May) : Just saying I don't think moving Myers would help Myers.
beast (9-May) : Center is usually considered the easiest position physically if you can handle the snap stuff.
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : Bust it is then
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Context. Sounds like Myers won't be cross-trained. C or bust.
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : @BookOfEli_NFL Packers pass game coordinator, Jason Vrable said that Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks shared a placed in Florida while train
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : For now...
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Packers go about evaluating their "best five," OL coach Luke Butkus makes on thing clear: "Josh Myers is our center."
beast (8-May) : Though I'm a bit surprised letting go of CBs, I thought we needed more not less
beast (8-May) : It was confusing with two DB Anthony Johnson anyways
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Packers actually had Ray Lewis on the phone.
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Packers wanted to draft Ray Lewis. Ravens stole him.
Martha Careful (6-May) : Happy 93rd Birthday to the Greatest Baseball Player of All-Time...Willie Mays
Zero2Cool (6-May) : Walter Stanely's son
buckeyepackfan (6-May) : and released CB Anthony Johnson and DL Deandre Johnson and waived/injured WR Thyrick Pitts (thigh-rick).
buckeyepackfan (6-May) : The Green Bay Packers have signed WR Julian Hicks, OL Lecitus Smith (luh-SEET-us) and WR Dimitri Stanley
Zero2Cool (6-May) : Petty, but it's annoying me how the NFL is making the schedule release an event.
Mucky Tundra (4-May) : @mattschneidman Matt LaFleur on how he tore his pec: “Got in a fight with the bench press. I lost.”
Zero2Cool (3-May) : Jordan Love CAN sign an extension as of today. Might tak weeks/months though
TheKanataThrilla (3-May) : Packers decline 5th year option for Stokes
Mucky Tundra (3-May) : @ProFootballTalk Jaylen Warren: Steelers' special teams coach has discussed Justin Fields returning kicks.
Zero2Cool (2-May) : Season officially ending tonight for Bucks ... sad face
Zero2Cool (2-May) : Giannis Antetokounmpo is listed as out for tonight's game.
dfosterf (2-May) : Surprisingly low initially is my guess cap wise, but gonna pay the piper after that
dfosterf (2-May) : The number on Love is going to be brutal.
Zero2Cool (2-May) : May 3rd. Extension day for Jordan Love. (soonest)
Zero2Cool (1-May) : USFL MVP QB Alex McGough moved to WR. So that's why no WR drafted!
earthquake (1-May) : Packers draft starters at safety ever few years. Collins, Clinton-Dix, Savage
beast (1-May) : Why can't the rookies be a day 1 starter? Especially when we grabbed 3 of them at the position
dfosterf (1-May) : Not going to be shocked if Gilmore goes to the Lions.
dfosterf (1-May) : I hear you dhazer, but my guess would be Gilmore Colts and Howard Vikings from what little has been reported.
Mucky Tundra (30-Apr) : S learn from McKinney who learns from Hafley who learns from the fans. Guaranteed Super Bowl
Zero2Cool (30-Apr) : could*
Zero2Cool (29-Apr) : Safeties should learn from Xavier.
dhazer (29-Apr) : And what about grabbing a Gilmore or Howard at CB ? Those are all Free Agents left
dhazer (29-Apr) : out of curiosity do they try and sign Simmons or Hyde to let these young safeties learn from, they can't be day 1 starters.
Zero2Cool (29-Apr) : I miss having Sam Shields.
Zero2Cool (29-Apr) : Not that he's making excuses, just pointing it out
Zero2Cool (29-Apr) : That's for dang sure. Make our erratic kicker have no excuse!
packerfanoutwest (28-Apr) : having a great long snapper is gold
Zero2Cool (28-Apr) : LaFleur looking like he had some weight. Coachin will do that lol
