I didn't find JerMike all that "great". What he had was "great potential" but injuries in part kept him from achieving anything close to greatness.

He played 6 seasons. Missed most of the season twice. Of the remaining 4, he only had 74 yards his rookie season that's not great either.

That leaves 3 years. He had 55,55,61 receptions on 72,92,87 targets. That's okay but not great. Too many dropped passes. TDs were only 5,8,2. That's pretty weak.

Yes he could run the middle of the field and cause defenses some problems but so could Willy Gault and Renaldo Nehemiah.

I'm curious, how many TE's are similar to Finley? Hell, how many good TE's are in their in the NFL? I would think Jared Cook fits the Finley mold far closer than anyone they have drafted. And go figure, he gets a big booboo.
