Here is what I am seeing from Rodgers so far this year.

1. He is afraid to make the 4 yard run for the 1st down.

2. He refuses to use the checkdown as many others have said

3. He has no faith in the o-line, i noticed him leaving the pocket early and for no reason.

4. His accuracy is way off.

5. This is the biggest one that I have seen the past 2 years. He is turning more into the Favre of old before getting traded to the Jets. By that I mean he falls down at times when he feels pressure and he is starting to lock in on 1 receiver. Plus he is starting to always look deep and he throws into double coverage. Where is the short to intermediate passes? He looks deep even if its 3rd and 1

All in all I think the broken collarbone has done more to his mentality than to his body.

I would actually be happy if we could trade him for someone like the Bucs next 3 1st rounders. Right now I believe the team would play better with Flynn at the controls.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Well, "sleighted" isn't a word.

But tell me if I've got it straight:

-A-Rod feels like he's still in Favre's shadow

-Rodgers makes conscious decision that in order to stand on his own as a great player, he'll need to go for big stats.

-On the basis of said decision, Rodgers intentionally blows off short-range, high-percentage throws and only goes for big plays downfield.

Huh?

Now however it also seems that Aaron has come up gun shy. I really hope he can get over that.

You know, if I were a 'Queens fan and wanting to have some fun at the expense of Packers fans, I'd join a Green Bay fan site (say around draft time/Apr) pretending to be a Packer fan.

And then when the season started I'd post an unrelenting series of posts/threads with titles such as "Packers Aren't Very Good", trashing the GM/coaches/players, etc.

You were right when earlier you said we were different types of fans.

A Vikings fan? Wow. If there was any team in all of professional sports I despised the Minnesota Vikings would be the one.

I've been a fan of the Green Bay Packers for 35 years. I was there for ICE BOWL II when the Packers destroyed the Panthers. I flew to SF the following year to watch the Packers win their 2nd straight NFC Championship at Candlestick.

Yes, I'm a purple fan. My goodness you have to be out of Reynolds wrap after that commentary.

I'm a guy who believes in going for it when you play sports...no other way to play and no other way I ever played them. Full freaking tilt. This Packers team is going through the motions. It's embarrassing to watch and I don't like it and I say so.

On a related note, I love the Michael Rodney quote where I'm taken to task. It speaks of Olivia Munn being a reason for Rodgers struggles...you can see Michael struggle to find answers in his comment about joking??? He seems unsure. That is something muh man evad04 mocked but Michael actually said it.

Disinterest is a function of not being motivated...they're connected. You seem to imply disinterest and lack of motivation are in two entirely different realms. Splitting hairs to try and mock me for something I truly believe and have believed about THIS TEAM since the 15-1 season. It is full of itself...in full blown excuse mode ALL THE TIME as if they're supposed to never lose because they're so good. Soon, they will realize that that's a fallacy and perhaps reality will finally be faced.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

Poor Uffda: accused of being a troll and now a Vikings fan. I just think you act like a petulant child. In fact I have a problem with all this whining about the poor start we are having yet again. I did live through the 70's and 80's Packers, so I know what dog shit football actually looks like.

Where we draft every year is our biggest problem. You can't ever get the blue chip talent on the offensive and defensive lines that you need to play with the big boys when you draft later than 20 every year. Then the two years we did get top ten picks it netted us Hawk and Raji: far from awesome draft picks.

So that leaves we fans a decision if we want to either be competitive each and every year so we have a chance at the stars aligning and we make a run, OR should we do a decade long rebuild like the Niners? I like the first option better.

You say "The Packers are sh*t". And Ted Thompson is sh*t. And Mike McCarthy is sh*t. And so on. Read the title of this thread.

Personally, I think Mike McCarthy called a sh*tty game, and the offense executed that sh*tty game plan poorly. There's a difference.

On the lack of motivation/disinterest: I think the defense appeared to be highly motivated during the game, and I'm disinterested in an invented discussion on AR's disinterest/lack of motivation which can have no other outcome that people arguing back and forth "Yes he is". "No he isn't". "Yes, he is"...

My original post did not address the motivation/disinterest at all because, frankly, I kinda skip most of your posts now because I've already read them. It was the title of your thread--which by the way I think was pretty sh*tty--that caught my eye in this case. Sounds to me like a thread that a Vikings fan would post to a Packers web site. You say you're not a Vikings fan, but you sure sound like one to me.

And why would I care what a Vikes fan thinks about AR's motivation?

If you're going to be so much into draft-and-develop as a a personnel strategy, you *HAVE* to be able to regularly get blue chip talent (or be able to mold other talent into blue chip performance) from later than 20.

Zero2Cool (13-May) : I know we moved on. That tidbit just makes me a touch happier.
Zero2Cool (13-May) : Sources spoke of many, many times last summer where Hackett called a play, then Rodgers changed it completely at the line
Martha Careful (10-May) : 1. this is true of all our linemen. 2. His run block is fine. 3. If all OL played like he has, we would win SB.
beast (10-May) : Meyers pass blocking is really good, his run blocking is really not.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : Packers have claimed DE Spencer Waege off of waivers from the 49ers and waived DT Rodney Mathews.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : And the OL protections seem to be good.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : I really don't know lol. I don't see him getting blown up.

Mucky Tundra (9-May) : 4th
Zero2Cool (9-May) : because he's 1st
Mucky Tundra (9-May) : Myers isn't even the 3rd best C on the roster atm
Martha Careful (9-May) : I am not sure I understand the Myers hate. He was consistently our third best lineman. RG and LT were worse.
beast (9-May) : Just saying I don't think moving Myers would help Myers.
beast (9-May) : Center is usually considered the easiest position physically if you can handle the snap stuff.
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : Bust it is then
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Context. Sounds like Myers won't be cross-trained. C or bust.

beast (8-May) : Though I'm a bit surprised letting go of CBs, I thought we needed more not less
beast (8-May) : It was confusing with two DB Anthony Johnson anyways
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Packers actually had Ray Lewis on the phone.
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Packers wanted to draft Ray Lewis. Ravens stole him.
Martha Careful (6-May) : Happy 93rd Birthday to the Greatest Baseball Player of All-Time...Willie Mays

buckeyepackfan (6-May) : and released CB Anthony Johnson and DL Deandre Johnson and waived/injured WR Thyrick Pitts (thigh-rick).
buckeyepackfan (6-May) : The Green Bay Packers have signed WR Julian Hicks, OL Lecitus Smith (luh-SEET-us) and WR Dimitri Stanley
Zero2Cool (6-May) : Petty, but it's annoying me how the NFL is making the schedule release an event.
Mucky Tundra (4-May) : @mattschneidman Matt LaFleur on how he tore his pec: “Got in a fight with the bench press. I lost.”

dfosterf (2-May) : The number on Love is going to be brutal.
Zero2Cool (2-May) : May 3rd. Extension day for Jordan Love. (soonest)
Zero2Cool (1-May) : USFL MVP QB Alex McGough moved to WR. So that's why no WR drafted!
earthquake (1-May) : Packers draft starters at safety ever few years. Collins, Clinton-Dix, Savage
beast (1-May) : Why can't the rookies be a day 1 starter? Especially when we grabbed 3 of them at the position
