Every wager me or my husband made on any game was with an individual, and both side would agree to use that spread at the time the best was made.
How does it work with a bookie or one of these websites?
I,e, if Bboystyle played a bet on the Eagles a few days ago when the spread was 3.5 points, does he get to keep only giving 3.5 now that the spread has moved up...or does he now have to give 5.5? If he had to give more that would not be fair in my estimation.
With lines one thinks are likely to move, one could arbitrage such that if one suspected the line was going to get to -6.5 and opened at -.3.5, one could have then placed a wager early then a counter wager late and if the Eagles won by 4, one would win both bets.
But I supposed this logic goes out the window when taking the transaction cost (juice) into account.
Anywy the question still stands, Is the spread at the time of the wager the determining factor, or is it the final spread?
