The Packers are fully healthy this week, but still scratched a veteran cornerback who has yet to make his team debut. The Green Bay Packers are at full strength for Sunday afternoon’s game against the Los Angeles Rams in LA, with everyone who was listed on the team’s injury report on Friday being active for the game. That includes wide receiver Randall Cobb , backup offensive tackle Jason Spriggs , and rookie wideout Equanimeous St. Brown , the three players who got questionable designations on Friday.
However, there is still one notable surprise on today’s inactive list: veteran cornerback Bashaud Breeland . The corner will be waiting at least one more week to make his Packers debut, even despite being listed with no injury designation on the final report. Still, he remained limited in practice all week with a continuing hamstring injury, which could be a reason for his continuing absence on gameday.
Joining Breeland on the shelf today is a sextet of other healthy scratches. The other big name in the group is guard Justin McCray , who appears to have fallen out of favor with the coaching staff. McCray has gone from opening-week starter to gameday inactive over the span of a few games, as Byron Bell is now the starter at right guard and Lucas Patrick appears to be the preferred backup option at the position.
For the Rams, both players who were listed as doubtful on Friday are out today. That group consists of second-year wideout Cooper Kupp , who has 438 receiving yards and five touchdowns on the year, and reserve linebacker Trevon Young .
