This thread from 12 years ago was started when Bret Favre went to play for the Jets. As it turned out, NE had that edge as they went on to and won multiple SBs.
Today's Jets may just do better in the AFC East as the Patriots no longer have either The Gronk or Tom Brady. Sam Darnold has gotten NFL game experience and the Jets started off their 2020 draft by selecting M. Becton OT out of Louisville. He is the 3rd OT to be taken, but should provide Darnold with better protection moving forward. NE might present a shadow of their former selves, and Buffalo should be competitive again, with Miami bringing up the devision rear.
IMO, and I'm glad to say, NE should not be the dominant team that they once were. The Jets don't appear to be as strong as the Chiefs or the Ravens, but they just might win their division in 2020 (provided there is a 2020 NFL Season).
