1. Perfect way to start the season

Some were uttering that the Packers played a horrible game, that the preseason offense maybe was a fluke, that it wasnt a great note to start the season on. I completely disagree.

We learned several things about the 2009 Packers in this North tilt, and much of it has nothing but a positive vibe to it.

We learned that the Packers defense can carry this team and doesnt have the hints of collapsing nature of 2008. With a helping hand of a bogus illegal contact call, the defense bent in the waning minutes of the game. The Bears had first and goal on the Packers and the defense stood tall and resisted the break; preserving the chance for the Packers to win with a field goal. +1. I was also struck by the fact that our two bugaboos from last season (defensive consistency, the ability to pull out a late, winning score) were what won this game tonight.

I'll add that Matthews really impressed me, as well - he seemed to be in the middle of everything when he was out there. Good to see.

YES. if jolly hadn't picked that one off (amazing catch by the way!), we obviously would not have won the game. we just weren't making it happen, and finally, on our own 5 yd line, jolly picks it off to keep the game alive. i think that cutler played like crap, though as well. judging by his stats, taht is an obvious thing to say. i think its awesome that he played badly and that denver is now 4-0 with the 'misfit' qb kyle orton. nice to see the guys that get shit on finish ahead of the jerks every once in awhile.
