Who exactly is saying it's 100% his fault? ... cus I'm not sure I've seen that anywhere... and certainly not by me.

I said I thought ONE PLAY... ONE... was his fault. And I was okay with people disagreeing, just not keep harping on it on and on through out the game. Is that really unreasonable for someone to think that one play might be his fault?

I think we're mostly agreeing, it's just the semantics, where I complain about something, you think I'm completely blaming Rodgers, when I'm not.

It’s about going through reads, and dump it off to the RB if need be. There have certainly been times that Rodgers should’ve done that and didn’t. But to see fans saying “he should’ve thrown it here or there” instead of where he did on almost every single play, that gets old. And it causes unnecessary reactions like I had in the chat. I guess your comment was the one that finally triggered me, and I apologize for that.

I do however wish that we would run more plays that are designed to be short/intermediate quick hitters. It seems to always work for us, but we didn’t hardly do it against Detroit except for one drive. I also wish we would run a no-huddle offense some to put the defense on their heels. Those type of things I feel like would help Rodgers, and ultimately help the entire offense.

Yeah, usually I make excuses for Rodgers because he deserves the benefit of the doubt most of the time.

Like a while back, one WR came completely and totally wide open, must of been a bust in coverage, if Rodgers only looked left, it should have been an easy pitch and catch.... But Rodgers got a little pressure and had to make a choice to move left or right, he choose right (which you can't blame him for... and I think one more target was to that side) and just never a chance to look back the opposite way (and even if there is, they tell you not to throw it, because it's extremely hard to read defender running one way and throwing the opposite, while it's easy for them to read you).... though this was all by himself deep.

It hurt not getting that one, but it was no one fault, the pass rush made him leave his spot and flow one way or the other. Got to give the other team's pass rush some credit even if their coverage team did blow it and make a huge mistake.

And I think almost everyone will admit, the Packers literally don't have weapon right now, outside of Adams, Jones and Williams, and it's hard to put Jones and Williams on the field at the same time... and yes Lazard should be there too, though maybe more of a #3 guy or #2b option, that's being forced to play as a #2a because the lack of talent.

To my needs board, I have WR, ILB (Martinez), DT like you... but I also currently have OT (Bulaga, Veldheer), TE (bye Graham, Lewis) and CB (Tramon and most important position after QB, and we need more depth and King sometimes is inconsistent as hell).

So WR, ILB, DT, OT, TE, CB ... and wildcard of RB (Jones is awesome, but both he and Williams are going into contract year and could be useful to keep 2... plus this scheme needs a good do it all RB... and some mock drafts have for some reason have had either D'Andre Swift or Jonathan Taylor falling to the Packers 2nd round pick, which I see as unlikely, but if it happened I might be yelling for them to be selected! ).

This is purely speculation, but I'm thinking the sign someone in FA for the ILB Martinez spot... might even be Martinez himself, and maybe WR if they can find a deal/player they really like (and no I don't think they're going back to Cobb).

Heck, RB Derrick Henry has had a down year... if no one offers him much, I wonder what a Gute/LaFleur conversation might be like.
Rumor at the trade deadline had it that the Packers looked into trading for WR Robby Anderson, who's going to become a WR and keeps picking up 700+ seasons with the struggling Jets.

I know 'Lizard man' is currently our #2 receiver... but I feel like talent wise he should be #3... and Packers have no #2 right now... though he's great at making the most of what he can do.

Also I question the Packers at judging WRs a bit after they released Lazard to start the season... that was a bit surprise to me, I thought it was gonna be the surprise that had everyone asking why him over Shepperd and St. Brown (other than he was injured, but not 53 roster, then he could potentially return from there).

The Packers went deep-ball crazy against the Lions, but is it really so crazy?

“We wanted to try and stress them down the field and when we had the looks, you know, he takes the chance,” LaFleur said after the game.

“The further you throw the ball down the field, the odds are the completion percentage goes down. But that’s just the way we felt we had to attack these guys.”

In other words, the Packers are willing to live with variance in order to capture the upside of these shot plays. Rodgers doesn’t have to go off script to take those risks downfield; they’re built into the game plan. In fact, as LaFleur pointed out, nearly every passing concept the Packers have involves a vertical element. Given the way the Lions play coverage, Green Bay felt it had an advantage going downfield, particularly after Detroit traded safety Quandre Diggs to Seattle.

“We wanted to stretch the field for sure,” Rodgers said Sunday.

“We felt like especially on third down they’d be sitting at the sticks. So we wanted to take some shots early, and had some opportunities. [We] missed, obviously, a few of them, and didn’t come down with a couple of them as well, but that was the plan.”

“Nah. I like having the island. It’s pretty cool...not too many visitors”

I would rather the Rodgers who dink and dunked vs Chiefs than the one who aired it out ~20 times vs the Lions.
