It's official, GB will have the 12th pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

I want to see the Packers choose the best Offensive Tackle available for their first draft pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. Bulaga is too prone to injury, in spite of how good a player he is. The core of all Offenses / Defenses is the BEEF in the trenches. GB needs to greatly improve in this part of the teams future moving forward.

Also, I understand that the 2019 NFL Draft will be heavy with good defensive players. GB's second pick should address the greatest need on the Defense, an Edge Rusher/OLB.

Does it matter which tackle position a player manned in college? In other words, could a college left tackle slide over and play right tackle in the NFL -- or vice versa?

That being said, I think if you take a RT from College, give him a whole training camp at LT, you should be on the right track. I also think you need to give them a little more time to develop too. Muscle memory can be a real bitch to retrain.

I think locking yourself into drafting the best offensive tackle, or best any position, is absolutely the worst move you can make. If the best OT is a late first round to 2nd round talent do you still want to take him even if there is a upper round talented safety or edge rusher available. I have no idea how the draft will shape up as far as which positions are loaded and which are not but you are advocating a strict "need" pick and that can result in reaching to fill a position.

I agree that the position is a need and I wouldn't have any issues drafting the best OT available at #12 if he is a top 15 talent but I don't want to see them grab a 25-32 level talent at #12 just to fill the need.

I want the Packers to draft the best possible player that fills a position of need. If that is OT great, if its edge rusher we need one of those as well. If its a WR I'm fine with that too (I feel a top level WR is a position of need but I understand that not everyone agrees) I'd be fine with any position other than QB, RB, P, K, LS and maybe CB and TE . Even then, if we were sitting at #12 and a Saquon Barkley type RB (I don' think there is one this year is there) dropped I wouldn't have a problem if they took him either.

Smokey was advocating for josh Jackson at 14 last year. He got wish in the 2nd and it's a damn good thing we didn't draft him at 14. Would have been way too early for him.
BAD EMAIL because the address couldn ot be found, or is unable to receive mail.

In addition a killer O-Line can open running lanes for the RBs. Getting defenses to respect the run eases the pressure on the passing attack. An analysis of the 1st to the 11th draft picks would need to be performed as well as a rankings list of available OTs.

If an Edge Rusher/OLB is more attainable, then by all means take him. However right now the primary goal, IMO, should be targeted at acquiring a blue chip OT. April 25th is still a good time off, so there is time to get the homework done.

Last year I supported drafting Josh Jackson, and they did.

I want a stud defensive front edge rushes/DT guy, which this draft has an unusual number of top guys so possible a top 6 guy in a normal year will fall to 12 at this position, don't think they'll fall to the 30s though... if we keep Pettine (his scheme) I'd be looking at
DE Clelin Ferrell and DL Rashan Gary for that.

Also looking at the explosive FS Deionte Thompson, as the.long term replacement for Tramon Williams at FS... which also might free up Williams to play CB if there are injuries (King).

Also I really think the Packers offense seriously missed having two top WRs (or even a true #2 WR), if they see one they LOVE it would be great to have two #1 to go with Adams. But generally it seemed like 1st round WRs busted more than they lived up to their draft status in the 1st round, so I might wait until later than the top 12 unless I felt sure they were something special.
